Oh no, Brock’s found out about it! He knows that the party is going to be a hit! Will he be able to get a sneak peek? Or will he be stopped by an unsuspecting geek? Nine Months Three - “Operation Slumber Party Sneak Peek” Story Written by The Freedom Fighter Ages of the Anime Characters that Appear in this Chapter: Violet Waterflower - 16 Lily Waterflower - 16 Daisy Waterflower - 17 May Oak - 16 Misty Waterflower - 14 Ash Ketchum - 14 Brock Slate - 16 Melanie Shrub - 17 Richie Sparky - 14 New Characters: Sandy, Random Boy, Three Girls at the Party, Richie’s friend Continuity Explanation: May Oak - The History Behind Gary’s Older Sister Everyone knows that May Oak was first introduced in the video game, although unnamed. She was not dubbed “May” until the manga “The Electric Tale of Pikachu” was released. But how does she fit into this series, in relation to Ash and Gary? * May is responsible for driving Gary and his cheerleaders during the last two summers of his journey, which included ventures to Fuschia City, the Safari Zone, Cinnabar Island, and of course, Viridian City. * She also served the first summer of Gary’s journey as one of his cheerleaders. She couldn’t take the responsibility, so she did not join him for his second summer. * May used to baby-sit for both Ash and Gary when they were still babies. She was also exceptionally good towards Ash, hence why he has the crush on her. * In the four summers that she didn’t spend with her brother since turning ten, she has attempted to collect all badges, but has only managed to get three: the Boulder, the Cascade, and the Rainbow. Her strongest Pokémon will appear later in this series. That’s all on that for now. If you want any explanations on any other characters in this series, please drop me a line, and I’ll see what I can do. Four girls, all members of the school’s cheerleading squad, are running all over the place. On a Tuesday night, you’d expect them to be either studying or preparing for bed. Tonight, only one of them is doing either, as her roommate and her roommate’s two sisters are planning something for the coming weekend. Violet: So, who are we inviting to this slumber party of ours? Lily: Like, there definitely can’t be any geeks or anyone with a bad hairdo. Daisy: I guess that rules you out, right May? May: (looking up from her textbook, talking sarcastically) Very funny. Lily: (pulling away the book) Chill, girl! You can do that studying some other time. May: But I have a test in history tomorrow! Violet: You can study that stuff in first period. May: Oh yes, study under the watchful eyes of Mr. Hosaramo, the physics teacher who will tear up your notes and take your textbook on the spot if he catches you doing work for another class. Lily: Don’t listen to Violet. She tends to cram everything at last minute. Violet: Do not! Lily: What about that art vocabulary quiz yesterday? You didn’t even glance at your notes until you walked in the classroom! Violet: Hey, I got a 85! It’s better than what you got, misses know-it-all. Lily: Oh, so you’re insulting my intelligence because I got a 35? Daisy: Lily! Lily: Oops... did I say 35? I meant 75... Daisy: Lily, maybe you shouldn’t come to the slumber party. I think you need to spend more time hitting the books... (pointing to May) like my roommate! May: So I’m the bookworm around here now? Daisy: Say, May, do you want to come to the slumber party? Violet: Invite her? You’ve gotta be kidding! May: (standing up) And what’s wrong with that? Lily: Ooh, good comeback! Violet: Shut up, Lily. Daisy: Violet! Lily: Anyway, I think May will fit right in. I mean, she looks just as good as us. Violet: Don’t count your chickens before they hatch. May: (getting in Violet’s face) So you’re implying that I’m not refined enough for you? Violet: No, I didn’t say that. May: Okay, I’ll come to the slumber party, and prove I’m just as beautiful as you girls. Daisy: Then it’s settled! That makes it me, Violet, and May! Lily: What about me? Daisy: Pass that pre-calculus test on Thursday, and we’ll talk. Violet: Say... you want to invite Misty? May: You mean your little sister? Daisy: Yeah. What do you guys think? Daisy, Violet, Lily, and May: (simultaneously) Naaaa! Lily: She’s not ready for this type of stuff yet. Violet: Maybe when she gets a new hairdo... May: Or picks up a boyfriend... Lily: Or develops a bigger chest... Daisy, Violet, and May begin to smack Lily with some rolled up newspapers, which conveniently happened to be piled on top of Daisy’s bed, forcing the pink-haired girl to duck for cover and try to find something to fight back with. ************************************************************************ 11:15 p.m., 601 Starmie Hall Misty closes her biology textbook, and sighs. She glances at her roommate, who is already asleep. She steps out of her room, and glances down the hall to find it completely clear and quiet. She goes back into the room, locks the door, and quickly changes into some light blue pajamas. Afterwards, she wanders over to the window, opens it a tad to let some fresh air in, and then begins to glance into the dark night. Misty: Ever since starting school last week, I’ve been having trouble finding friends to talk to. Sure, my roommate Sandy is nice, but she’s a study hog! What can I say about her, you ask? We don’t even have a television! How am I supposed to watch my favorite show, “5th Rock from the Earth’s Moon?” She says that television rots your brain. And then I catch her at a friend’s room watching a game show... you know, the one with the old and nearly bald guy who tries to test people’s intelligence by asking them questions only people with an IQ of at least 150 know. What a hypocrite! She looks over as Sandy stirs briefly, but doesn’t wake up. Misty: And I thought she was bad... that guy that sits next to me in my national government class. Gary Oak, I think his name is. He’s so arrogant! Whenever he’s not trying to talk about how good of a Pokémon trainer he is, he annoys me with useless jibber-jabber that strays me from my work. And then at the end of class, he’s finished, while I’ve only got about a half of a page complete. That totally bites! The wind blows heavily into the room, and Misty is forced to close the window in order to keep from freezing to death. Misty: But that’s not all... my almighty cheerleading older sisters spend too much time showing off their bodies for some muscled men who just throw around that brown odd-shaped thing called a football. Then there’s that girl-crazed guy who’s always chases after them. And of course, my teachers never cut me any slack when it comes to homework. (sighs) Then I find out that the guy who destroyed my bike four years ago goes here as well! But for some reason, I don’t hate him as much now as I used to. I wonder why? Misty gets an immediate answer... a pillow to the back of her head. Sandy: Go to sleep! Misty: Okay already, don’t have a cow! After handing back Sandy’s pillow, Misty slips into her own bed and slowly drifts off to sleep. ************************************************************************ September 11th, 8:05 a.m., Main Classroom Building Ash is in the process of getting his books out of his locker for his morning classes. Brock then comes up and taps him on the back. Ash: (turning around) Brock! What’s up? Brock: You won’t believe this! There’s going to be a slumber party Saturday night! Ash: So? What’s so great about a slumber party? Brock: There’s going to be girls in pajamas there! Ash: (yawns) I don’t get it. All they’re going to do is paint their nails and talk about boys and stuff. Brock: How do you know about that? Ash: I had an old friend who used to hang out with a lot of girls, that’s all. Brock: I bet they were all just young elementary school girls. I’m talking about teenage girls, with fully developed bodies that are to die for! Ash: You know, I’m really starting to get worried about you. You spend too much time flirting with girls. Brock: And you don’t? I’ve seen your eyes fill with hearts every time you catch sight of that brown-haired girl on the cheerleading squad. Ash: Oh, you mean May? She’s just my friend’s sister, that’s all. Brock: Come on, Ash. You know you want her. And I’ll bet she’ll be at the slumber party too. Ash: (eyes brighten up) Do you really think so? Brock: Of course. Now come on, we’ve got to find a way to sneak into that party. Ash: Sneak in? Brock: Of course. Don’t you know boys aren’t allowed at slumber parties? Ash: Are you sure? My friend was allowed all the time. Brock: That was child’s play. This is the big leagues. Ash: Just how did you find out about it anyway? Brock: Oh, I have my ways. Just meet me in the library after school, and I’ll fill you in on the rest of the details. With that, the two go their separate ways, both rushing to make it to first period on time. ************************************************************************ 12:15 p.m., Viridian City Senior High School Cafeteria The four Sensational Sisters of Cerulean City are busy eating their lunch, despite the fact that every eligible bachelor in the room is staring at them. Even one of the administrators, until he runs off to suspend two guys who are throwing french fries at each other. Even Misty is attracting some attention, but she ignores it. At least it’s easier than sitting down to a peaceful meal, since her three sisters never seem to stop talking, even if they have food in their mouths. Daisy: So like, this guy walks up to me after home economics class... Violet: What did he do? Lily: Did he ask you for a date? Daisy: No. He just said he’d dance in front of everyone just to profess his love for me. Violet: That’s nothing. There were these two freshmen who tried to ask me whether or not my body is real. Daisy: Seriously? Violet: Seriously! The nerve of them! Lily: At least you didn’t run into a girl who insisted on having me make one of my dresses for her. Why should I? Besides, she’s so fat she’d probably just rip it once she put it on. Daisy: Really? That big? Violet: (sighs) Only in high school can you find so many lowlifes in one place at the same time. Misty: Excuse me, you three, but can’t you eat in silence for once? Daisy: (patting Misty on the head) What’s the matter, little sister? Jealous because you don’t get as much attention as we do? Misty: (getting angry) Of course not! Besides, the attention you three get is already hazardous to my health. Lily: Doubt it, Misty. We don’t even smoke. Daisy: Smoke? What are you talking about, Lily? Violet: That’s Lily for you... always the clueless one. Lily: What? Daisy: We’ll talk some more later, Misty. Right now, we’ve gotta go and plan that slumber party. Violet: Bye! Lily: See you later, sis! As the three get up to dump their trays, Misty yells at them, attracting everyone’s attention... except the sisters themselves. Misty: You’re having a slumber party and you didn’t invite me? Random Boy: Hey, could you move a little to the right so I can see your figure better? Misty: (towards the boy) Oh, grow up! With that, she also gets up to dump her tray, and then storms out of the cafeteria. ************************************************************************ September 13th, 10:30 p.m., Viridian City Senior High School Dormitory Village, 310 Blizzard Hall Giggles and screams are coming from the dormitory room, as eight girls, all already dressed in their pajamas, are beginning their slumber party. Among those present are Daisy, Violet, Lily, May, Melanie, and three other unknown girls who are friends of theirs. Daisy: Okay, May, truth or dare? May: (after thinking for a while) Let’s see. Truth. Daisy: Have you ever seen your little brother naked? May: Of course... when he was a baby. Daisy: I mean recently. May: Are you crazy? Why would I peek in on my brother like that? Violet: I can see the look on her face! Melanie: She’s blushing. She did see her brother naked! Daisy: I knew it! May: (blushing) Okay, I admit it. I did peek once when he stepped out of the shower. All of the other girls break out in laughter. Daisy: Okay, May, it’s your turn. May: (turning to Melanie) Melanie, truth or dare? Melanie: Truth. May: Is it true you flashed for a boy at a football game last year? Melanie: I’m not going to answer that! I’d rather take the dare. Violet: You’re no fun, Melanie. May: Okay, then, Melanie. I dare you to take this can of whipped cream, spray some of it on Lily’s face, and then lick all of it off! Daisy: No way! She’ll never do that! Melanie takes the can from May, sprays the cream all over Lily’s face, despite her objections, and begins to lick it. Lily: Eewww! You can’t be serious! Melanie: You know... this actually tastes good. May: (giggling) You’re kidding? Melanie: No way. Lily: Stop it, Melanie! Your tongue tickles! Everyone breaks out in laughter again. Unknown to them, though, Ash and Brock had somehow managed to scale the side of the building using two pieces of rope, and are currently peering into the room through the window. Brock: This is great! Now we can get all the juicy tidbits of the party right up front! Ash: Yeah. Doesn’t May look great in pajamas? Brock: Forget May... Melanie is totally hot! Unknown to them, Misty is passing by on her way back to her dorm, when she spots the duo. Misty: What are those two doing? Wait a minute, that’s Daisy’s room! (yelling at them) Get down from there before I call the police, you perverts! Ash and Brock, both startled by Misty’s loud voice, lose grip of their ropes. The two begin to freefall from their third story perch to the ground. Ash ends up falling right into Misty’s arms, causing both of them to tumble down. Brock is somewhat luckier... he lands in some nearby bushes. Misty is the first to get up. Misty: What were you two doing spying on my older sister? Ash: (getting up) Nothing, honest! Misty: And I thought that stunt you pulled with my bike four summers ago was bad... Ash: Huh? Wait a minute, it can’t be... Misty: That’s right, shorty! I’m the girl you still owe a new bike! Ash: I paid you thirty dollars the summer after. Misty: Yeah... the bike’s original cost was one hundred and thirty dollars, remember? Ash: You expect me to pull a hundred dollars out of my pocket right now? Brock then gets up, rubbing his aching back. Misty: And you must be the one who put him up to this! Brock: Me? Misty: I know that peabrain here isn’t smart enough to concoct a plan like this. Ash: Peabrain? Hey! Brock: Honestly, we were just trying to get a better look at the stars. Misty: Sure... and I’m the younger sister of the Easter Bunny. Unknown to Misty, Ash is trying to sneak away. She spots him, and begins to give chase. Brock uses the opportunity to get away himself, but Ash isn’t as lucky right now. Misty: Once I remember your name, you’ll be in big trouble, kid! Ash: It’s Ash, oops, I mean, you’ll have to catch me first! Unknown to them, Violet is glancing out the window, and she manages to catch everything that was unfolding below. Violet: Looks like Misty might have some potential after all. Lily: What makes you say that? Violet: She just scared off two boys who were trying to peek in on us! Daisy: Well, we can thank her later. Let’s just hope we don’t have any more interruptions. All of a sudden, Richie and a friend of his fall out of the closet. The two look up and see eight very angry girls staring at them. Richie: This doesn’t look like my room... The room erupts in screams of anger as Richie and his friend try to escape from the room. And in the process, the noise begins to wake up almost every single other person in the dormitory hall. This is going to be one difficult story to explain in the morning... To be continued... Now that the series is back under way, please tell me what you think of this chapter! That way, I’ll know whether or not reviving this series was a good idea or not.
