The Homecoming Dance was the next day, and people are now rushing to get all the final preparations done... ************************************************************************ October 19th, 7:30 AM, Viridian Senior High, Main Bldg., Rm. 327 After last night's game against Celadon City and the subsequent win, Scott was treated like a national hero. In fact, all the players were treated as heroes, as Viridian High, in its long history, had NEVER clinched top spot on the Indigo League standings. Celadon was a real powerhouse for a few years, but not any more... Tracie: Hey, Scott, great game! Scott: Thanks. Classmate 1: Yeah, that long pass to Will was cool! Classmate 2: How do you throw like that? Scott: Please, I'm trying to finish my novel. Mr. Robertson: Joey, what did I tell you about talking in class? Classmate 2: Um, nothing, sir? The class bursts out into hysterics. Mr. Robertson: Joey! Go to the Office! Now! Tracey: (Sighs) There goes Joey again...3rd time this week! Scott: Does he ever get along with Mr. Robertson? Mr. Robertson: Will you shut up, Scott "I'm-Mister-Football-Star" McGwire? Scott: I certainly will, sir, when you do. The class breaks out into hysterics again, and now, Mr. Robertson is angry. His face is a bright red, and it looks as if steam is coming out of his ears. The old man was obviously in need of a chill pill, and then off to the pastures where he needs to be. All the years of teaching English has driven him to the edge of his sanity, and seems like the teachers are suggesting the school retire him... Tracey: Um, sir, Scott didn't mean that. Scott: (Angry) I can fight my own battles, thank you very much! As that was about to lead to trouble, the bell rang. Saved by the bell... but now, it's from the frying pan, to the fire. Now Tracie and Scott were both headed off to Mrs. Menu's Geography class on the 4th floor, and she's an army general when it comes down to order in her classroom! As they walk along the hallway, they see couples talking and arranging their plans for tonight. Scott: So, you got a date? Tracey: Yeah, I'm going with Giselle. Scott: (Surprised) Giselle Gravelpot? Ha! Tracie: (Folds his arms) Who're YOU going with, huh? Scott: None other than May Oak! Tracie: May? I thought Daisy found a person for her! Scott: (Shaking it off) Who cares! Tracie: Eh, it's your call. (Shrugs) ************************************************************************ 3:15 PM, 211 International Hall* (Scott and Tracey's dorm), Viridian High Dorms Gary sat on the chair, while Ash, Scott and Brock sat on Tracey's bunk. They knew Team Rocket was up to something no good, as both A.J. and Gary had noticed a bunch of them sitting at the practice field the day before the game, but no one had any idea what they are up to, and most importantly, who are they? Gary: I don't know about you, but I know they're up to no good. Scott: Besides, we still have to watch for those Celadon people. Ash: Why would they want that? Brock: Ash, its called revenge. Ash: If a rivalry is that bad, why don't we call it a war? Scott: Um, because war is violent, and a rivalry is peaceful? Gary: Listen up and learn something useful, Ash! Ash: Do you want me to whip you right here? Gary: Bring it on! Scott: Hey! Hey! Hey! Let's not fight here! Brock: What would Lily say if you had a black eye? Ash: Brock, shut up! (* - International Hall was formerly Rhinestone Hall, so now Samurai is in room 115 of Rhinestone Hall, and Scott and Tracie in room 211.) ************************************************************************ 4:30 PM, 601 Starmie Hall, Viridian High Dorms Misty: Hey, Giselle, did you get a date? Giselle: Yeah... Tracey Sketchit. Misty: Never heard of him. Is he nice? Giselle: He's a Pokemon watcher...really cute. Misty: Giselle, have you seen my cross-country stuff? Giselle: No! Who do I look like, Your mom? Misty: Okay, okay, so you haven't seen it. Giselle: (Holds up her dress) How do I look? Misty: Stunning... (Holds up her dress) What about this? Giselle: Honey, it's you... but I'll be the prettiest one there! The two of them giggle, and then, May and Misty's sisters come into the room to check out what's up with the giggling. May: Nice dresses, girls! Giselle: And you don't look too bad yourself, May... but I'm prettiest! Daisy: Hey, girlie, that's what we are! Giselle: Yeah, when pigs fly! Violet: (Angry) She dissed us! How dare you! Lily: Oh, sis, calm down! Daisy: Yeah, like take a chill pill! Giselle: You should listen to your sisters, May: Giselle, (Makes a cutthroat motion) cut it out! Lilly: This is like, getting out of hand. Violet: Let me, like, at her! Giselle: Yeah, like you can! Both Lilly and Daisy are trying to restrain Violet from anything violent... Giselle walks to the washroom, and closes the door. May: Hey, girls, let's go. Misty: I'll see you guys at the dance, okay? May, Daisy, Violet and Lily: See ya. ************************************************************************ 6:45 PM, 310 Blizzard Hall, Viridian High Dorms May walked out of her dorm, and began the walk to Seaking Center, Viridian High's own aquatic sports arena. As she did, she saw Ash, waiting for Lily, but a bunch of guys are standing around him, continually pestering him of the fact that an older girl is going with him. He's trying to get away. May: Hey, you little runts get away from him! Boy 1: (Mockingly) Why? Boy 2: Because my boyfriend is the football team's star quarterback, and that's my friend you're bugging! Boy 3: Okay, we'll back away now. The boys run away, a little bit of terror in their eyes. Ash: You're going out with Scott? May: Nah, he's just going to the dance with me. Ash: (Unenthusiastically) Score. Inside, Ash was hurt. He never knew that she had her eyes set on Scott! And all that time, he thought she was the one for him! A tear came up to his eyelids, but he pushed it back into the eye. May isn't supposed to see him cry just because she scored Scott! May: Uh, I gotta go... Daisy, lock the door! Daisy: (From inside the room) Well, like, give me the key! May: You have your own, girl! Use that! Ash: See ya, May... May: 'Bye, Ash. (Gives him a kiss on the cheek) Well, maybe it wasn't a total loss. ************************************************************************ 7:30 PM, Starmie Hall, Viridian Senior High School Tracey went up to the door, and saw Giselle already there. She waved him in, and he was a little bit on the relenting side... Tracey: (Thinking) What if she hates me? Giselle: Tracey? What's wrong? Tracey: (Nervous) Oh, nothing! The two enter, and immediately, they meet up with Ash and Lily. They stop to talk for a while, but back at the entrance, Violet and May were waiting for their dates. May: So, who's this person you got for me? Violet: He's so cute, you'll love him to death! May: Well, spit it out already! Violet: You'll see! Scott appears, with a bunch of flowers in his hand... His face begins to blush as bright as a cherry as he hands the flowers to her. Violet: What the... May: Is Scott the guy you found for me? Violet: That's right... May, how could you? May: I didn't know that! Violet: Oh, yeah, it was, like, a surprise! Heh... May: I'll see you later, Violet. Violet: Yeah... The two enter the dance, and soon, every one of our friends has arrived, and the party is just about to start! The DJ's have pumped up the music, the couples are out on the dance floor, while some of the seniors were in a booth near the punch bowl, voting for both the class's Homecoming King and Queen. Jessie DeVries and James LeBlanc, Homecoming King and Queen last year, are here to pass on the crown. Ash: C'mon, Lily, let's dance! Lily: Hey, isn't that Scott and May? Ash: Yeah, I know. Lily: Well, let's go dance! The two jump into the dance floor, but Richie and his band spots them. Gary: Uh oh... here comes trouble. Misty: Gary Oak! You'd better not be ditching me here! Gary: I'm not! Meanwhile, Richie is getting ready to pound Ash all the way to Kingdom Come for just entering the Talent Show, and winning. May: What the... Scott: What's wrong? May: Uh oh, here comes Richie again. Scott: Hey, wait for me! As Scott and May goes over to check up with Ash, he passes by Misty, who joins up with them to the scene. Richie: (Punching Ash in the chest) And this is for entering! May: Hey! What are you doing? Richie: Uh oh, it's the girl with the football guy as a date again! Richie's friend: Run! The two of them run away, and everyone crowds over Ash, who is trying to recover. Gary: Man, I never knew Richie was THAT mean. Misty: Oh, yeah. But as they were about to continue, someone steps onto the stage, holding onto a sheet of paper with the results of the voting. Person: Attention, all students! We have the results for the dance's Homecoming court! Daisy: I hope it's me... I'm so gorgeous. Lily: Forget it! It's gonna be me! May: No way, it's mine! Misty: (Annoyed) WILL YOU CUT IT OUT AND LISTEN? Person: Drake Orange and Daisy Waterflower! Daisy: Yeah! Like, totally! Drake (From the Pokemon comic book "Surf's Up, Pikachu, Part 4") and Daisy go up to the stage, and meet up with Jessie and James at the center. Jessie: Congratulations! James: You two are just as lovely as Jessie and I! Suddenly, the roof explodes, and a Meowth balloon appears in the hole. Everyone screams in terror, as Butch and Cassidy appear. Cassidy & Butch: Prepare for trouble and make it double! Cassidy: To infect the world with devastation! Butch: To blight all peoples in every nation! Cassidy: To denounce the goodness of truth and love! Butch: To extend our wrath to the stars above! Cassidy: Cassidy! Butch: And Butch. Cassidy: Team Rocket, we circle the earth all day and night! Butch: Surrender to us now, or you will surely lose the fight! A Raticate suddenly appears out of nowhere. It flies in front of Butch and Cassidy. Raticate: Cate! {Yep!} Butch: Now, hand over Jessie and James! Jessie and James: WHAT? Cassidy: You heard right! Misty: Team Rocket! What are you doing here? Butch: Simple. The Oddish lost the football game, so it's time for Viridian City to pay! Gary: That doesn't mean a thing! Cassidy: Oh, yeah? Without losing another second, Cassidy rounds up Jessie and James, a la cowboy, and hop back into the balloon with Meowth and Butch. Meowth: Power ON! May: A talking Meowth? AJ: That's not possible! Tracey: I gotta get a sketch of that and send it to Professor Oak! AJ, Scott, Lily and Misty: FORGET THAT! The balloon floats up, as Jeanette appears. She is from Crimson, but goes to Celadon. Her friends had invited her to come, but now, she was going to play a crucial role in this very weird ordeal. Jeanette: Uh oh... Team Rocket's here, and they're up to no good. Ash: We gotta go chase them! Misty: But how? Brock: Do you see a balloon anywhere? Gary: I wish I had Pidgeot you guys could use... Melanie: Brock, do something! Scott: Well, the only choice now is to give chase! Jeanette: (Anxious) Hey, I wanna a part, too! Misty: Well, let's go! Samurai: I'm coming. Giselle: Okay, we only need 6 people... too many cooks spoil the broth. Ash: (Rushing to the door) Let's go! Misty: I'm coming! Jeanette: Wait for me! The first three rush out the door in hot pursuit of Team Rocket. Scott: Tracey, let's go! Tracie: Hey, we need a 6th person. Scott and Tracie both exit, following Ash, Misty and Jeanette. Brock: I'll pass. Gary: Ditto. May, Violet and Lily: Don't look at us. Samurai: Maybe I'll pass, too. Giselle: Since I'm so good, I'll go! Giselle rushes out the door to catch up with the other 5, while everyone sweatdrops. What is Team Rocket intending to do now that they've captured Jessie and James? To be continued...
