Enjoy! ****** Disclaimer: The characters of the cartoon "Kim Possible" don't belong to me at all, but they can be used for whatever reasons and situations I deem necessary. Because as a fanfiction writer, I have that kind of power. Fanfic Rating: PG just to be safe, but there should be nothing harsher than what you see in the show. ****** "Some Senior Substitutions - Part 3 of 3" (09.26.05) ****** (Bonnie's POV) I feel like I'm in the middle of a nightmare. I'm a normal cheerleader, not some freak fighter like Kim Possible. But somehow, someway, I got dragged into this mission with two of her so-called friends Monique and Zita. Lame... Kim has the worst taste in people. And this guy that's staring us down! He's... he's old! And wrinkly! Geese... doesn't he have something else better to do with his time? "Eewww..." I cried out. "Kim is an enemy of this guy? She sure picks the strangest people to have as enemies. Not to mention the weirdest crushes." "She's so lost," I heard Zita say. "Typical vapid cheerleader," quipped Monique. "Hey!" I shot back, in disbelief that they, of all people, were insulting me! "So..." our captor cut in, "you know Kim Possible, yes? Allow me to introduce myself. I am Señor Senior, Sr. And this is my humble abode. Nice, no?" "For a snobby rich guy, anyway," I noted. I couldn't believe that we got captured by someone several times my age! And to think, I could've stayed in Middleton and just conducted cheerleading practice. That would've been easy and fulfilling, especially with Kim out on one of her world-saving missions... ====== [Two hours ago, Middleton High School Gym] "Okay everyone, from the top!" I yelled, addressing the squad. "Five, six, seven, eight!" Jumping into formation, me and the girls were hard at work practicing a new routine that I personally came up with. Somersaults, backflips, cartwheels, basket tosses... I threw everything into our cheer scheme in hopes it would be enough to wow the fans at the upcoming Baseball State Championships. After all, our sluggers wouldn't be playing at their best if we weren't there to cheer them on. As we worked through it, I noticed out of the corner of my eye someone walking into the gym. Noticing it was Monique, one of Kim's friends, I ignored her and continued strutting my stuff. I could just imagine the look on Kim's face when Monique tells her how much better I am than her! Unfortunately, thinking about my arch-rival distracted me, as I didn't put enough power into my leap in preparation for an extension manuever. So instead of my right foot landing in my fellow teammates' waiting palms, my stomach ended up there itself. Growling angry, I quickly recovered to a standing position. Turning to rest of the squad, I told them to take a break. "Take five, guys... while I deal with some unwanted spectator..." As I stomped away from the squad, most of whom went to find the nearest water fountain, I turned my attention to Monique, who seemed a bit frightened at the way I was coming at her. Good... she should be intimidated by me. "What's the big idea, coming in here and ruining cheer practice?" I asked. "Ruining? I wasn't gonna say anything until ya'll went on break, but girl... you tripped all by yourself. That's your fault." I grumbled at the fact that she wasn't as afraid of me as I thought. That, and because she was right... not that I'd openly admit that to her. "If you're looking for Kim," I stated, recomposing myself, "she's not here. She's out on one of her mission thingies." "You see, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. There's a second mission that she can't quite get to right now, and she needs some help." "Little Miss Smug Mug can handle things fine by herself, I'd wager." "Maybe so... but it helps to keep all the bases covered. Besides, I could use some help filling in for her. I don't match up with Kim at all... but maybe with a helper or two..." I raised an eyebrow in both interest and suspicion. "So you're asking me to save the world with you and some other random person because Kim's too busy to do the job herself?" Monique nodded, at which point she probably believed she had me convinced. She, naturally, was dead wrong... "You have got to be kidding!" I laughed out loud. "Me helping Kim?" "Fine," Monique shouted, now starting to sound desperate. "I'll make you a deal. Hmmm..." My eyes perked up with intrigue. "Okay, spill..." To my amazement, Monique actually gave me a deal I just couldn't refuse. Especially considering how beneficial it would be to me... and how degrading it would be for Kim's self-esteem. ====== After informing the squad that practice was ending early, I headed down to the A/V room. Monique was there waiting for me... as well as some girl I didn't know. "Bonnie, Zita. Zita, Bonnie." Monique said, introducing us to each other. "Who's this girl?" I asked, pointed at her. "Another one of Kim's loser friends, I bet." "You got a cheerleader?" Zita dealt back. "I"m only doing this because I owe Kim," I said smugly. "That, and Monique here gave me a deal I just couldn't refuse." "Whatever... can we just get this thing started?" "Certainly..." came the words of a young boy who suddenly appeared on a TV in front of us. "I'm Wade... Kim's resident boy genius!" "That's amazing," Zita gasped, though to me she sounded like she was faking it. "So you're the little dude Kim takes orders from?" I asked him. "What are you... like, seven?" "Ten," he corrected, "and I don't give her orders. I just help her." "Fine, fine, whatever, can we get to the point of this whole... thing that Kim apparently can't handle herself?" "I'm curious too," Monique said, turning to Wade. "Just what kind of mission are you sending us on?" As he explained the situation, I was only half paying attention. The other half me just wasn't interested. I didn't really care we were picking up the slack for Kim. After all, I bet this is some plot of hers to get me away from the cheer squad and substitute in a new routine. She always does that behind my back, you know. But then again, this could be my opportunity to show her up! That I'm better at her at something else other than cheerleading! She wouldn't be so smug after I save the world from some bad guy. Even if he looks old enough to be my great-grandfather. "He doesn't look so harmless," Monique said. "Okay, I'm in! Girls?" "I've always wanted to go on one of Kim's missions, believe it or not," Zita admitted. "I'm in too!" Suddenly, all the eyes in the room turned to me. Outnumbered three to one, and having already agreed to a sweet deal with Monique, I sighed, guessing I had no choice but to nod in agreement. "Fine... I'll go along with this 'adventure,' but Kim's so gonna owe me for this." "Good," Wade acknowledged, "because it's time to go. I've already arranged a ride to Señor Senior, Senior's island, located in the eastern part of the Atlantic Ocean." "You did?" Monique asked him. "With whom?" "Just look outside," Wade told us. The three of us looked at each other and ran out of the room. ====== Outside, we were greeted by a propeller plane hovering above. As a ladder was thrown out of the side door, my natural fears of being at great heights began to come to the surface. "Alright!" Zita shouted enthusiastically. "Looks like we're climbing!" "No way!" I objected, trying to think of an excuse... and then finding one in my uniform. "I'm not climbing up there in a skirt!" At that point, I thought I was in the clear. That is... until Monique's cellphone started ringing. "I almost forgot," came Wade's voice, as Monique's phone was on 'speakerphone.' "Check out the package by the front door of the school." "But there wasn't any..." Zita began to say before turning around and realizing that indeed there was one by the front door. "How did you do that?" I asked, amazed. "Who cares how?" Monique said, running over. Zita and I followed Monique over to the package, which she quickly ripped open. Inside were three black tank tops and three pairs of cargo pants, folded up. It was at that point I realized... this was that Kim-Style fad that was going around a year ago. This genius is behind in the times... I never wear the same outfit twice! "They're exactly our size!" Monique gasped, picking one set out of the box. Offended that Wade knew our sizes... a little too perfectly... I grabbed Monique's phone away from her and started yelling at the little pervert. "Okay, you, tell me where you got our measurements from!" "Uh... Kim told me. She had me do her Christmas shopping for you three last year while she was stuck in South America." "That's funny..." Zita noted. "I never told Kim my size." "Wait a minute," I jumped in again, this time with a legitimate excuse for not going along with the plan after all. "These clothes are so last year! I am not wearing this!" "Do what ya gotta do, girl," Monique smiled. "It's that, or the skirt." Once again defeated, I sighed in resignation. "Fine. But if either of you tell Kim about this..." "No problem," Monique and Zita agreed. "That goes for you too, boy genius!" I told Wade. "I hear ya!" he quickly agreed before signing off. "So..." Monique shouted. "What do you say we get suited up and get this party started!" "Okay..." I agreed, "But only because I have to." We headed back to the locker rooms to change, and then it was off to Europe! ====== [Fifteen minutes ago, somewhere over the Atlantic] "You two are such chickens!" Zita laughed as she suddenly pushed me out of the plane. "Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!" I yelled. To expect being shoved out of a plane at this parachute was one thing. It actually happening is another. Still, despite being surprised by Zita, I was in complete control of my descent. Before and after opening my parachute. This thing was more fun and a whole lot less scary than I thought it would be. Piece of cake. Until I realized that wasn't the hard part. The hard part was steering to a be-in-one-piece landing. "Anyone know how to land this thing?" I yelled, not ready to see my life flash before my eyes. ====== (Junior's POV) The doors whooshed open and I strutted into the room where Father was working on another one of his world domination things that I don't care that much about. "Quit playing games with my head!" I sang, reciting the lyrics to my favorite 'O Boyz' song. That is exactly the mood I am in right now. Toe-tappingly happy, but also anguished by the fact that the girl I am destined to be united with refuses to hear my calls of amoré. It's like she doesn't know I even exist! Except when she stops one of our crazy schemes. Speaking of which, my father berates me for loving her, the enemy! There's nothing wrong with that! I've seen it happen on telé before, and it worked out! Those romance shows always do! But he would rather not me be cohorting with someone who is always against us. He'll probably the same today, especially with this new scheme of his to melt some snow or something. What's up with that? "This is perfect!" my father exclaimed. "In mere hours, this expensive new weapon of ours will finally be ready to unfreeze the polar ice caps and create a new, joyful world. One that is free of heat waves and is better for my health." "But wouldn't that mean I cannot tan in the sunlight anymore?" I asked, worried I would no longer be able to bronze my skin. "Yes, but there's no need for such trivialities in our winter wonderland paradise." "You mean with the snow and the ice and the... ski bunnies?" I smiled. "Maybe this melting thing isn't so bad after all." "That's the spirit! Now, let us retire for a few hours while we wait for the ray gun's batteries to fully charage." Suddenly, I was spooked by our flashy and noisy alarm going off. I joined my father over at the control panel, and to my joy, the love of my life was once again coming to see me! Kim Possible, my yellow trout! I knew we were meant to be! "So... it looks like our arch-nemesis Kim Possible has come to stop our evil scheme!" "Or she's finally come to her senses," I exclaimed. "She must know that we are meant to be..." ====== (Bonnie's POV) "Figures," Monique said, "The rich always seem to have the toughest security systems." "It'll be hard to stop this guy if we can't get in," Zita commented. "We're not spies, you know," I said, walking right towards the gate. "Bonnie, girl, what are you doing?" Monique asked in a panic. "Ringing the doorbell like any normal person!" ====== (Junior's POV) "Hmmm..." my dad noticed. "It looks like Kim Possible has some new sidekicks." "That, or some fine-looking sisters," I said, admiring their curves. Especially the brunette... she looked poured into that outfit of hers. "If Kim Possible turns me down again, do you think one of them would want to go out with me?" My romantic thoughts were dashed aside by the greeting of a smack to my face. "Whomever they are, they are trespassing on our island. I feel it's time to give Kim Possible and her fellow patriots the welcome mat. Or rather... pull it out from underneath them." ====== (Bonnie's POV) I rang the doorbell, even as Monique and Zita were running over to stop me. It didn't hit me as to why... until a trap door opened up beneath us. How predictable could this bad guy be? "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" we all screamed. ====== [Present Time] And that's how we ended up here, being held prisoner by this senior citizen who spends too much time trying to reach some unattainable goal. World domination. Sheesh... why do people keep wanting that? All these years and no one has ever taken over the world! These villains of Kim's really need day jobs. "Did you say Kim Possible?" a young voice rang into the room. "Is my yellow trout here?" A young, black-haired hunk of a guy, our bad guy's son it turns out, entered the room. He was quite the looker, I'll give him that... but he doesn't have much for brains. "But father!" I heard him whine, having gotten into an argument with his dad. "Quiet! Don't you see we have guests?" Senior pointed towards us, and instantly 'Junior' started giggling like a schoolgirl. "This is too good to be true, father! You have brought me three lovely ladies to court!" Though I was distraught at that very thought, I also figured that this could be my ticket out of this nightmarish affair. "Do we look like mail-order brides to you?" Monique shouted. "As if we're that desperate," noted Zita. "Lighten up, you two!" I told them, smiling. "After all... he is kinda cute." "You see, father?" 'Junior' exclaimed, jumping up and down. "They are entranced by my smashing good looks and sense of 'it' style." "Junior, if that is so, they why do I not see any of them asking you out?" "Ooh, ooh!" I exclaimed, trying to sound enthusiastic and empathetic towards his pathetic plight. "Promise to let me go, and I'll go steady with you. Besides, these two losers here don't have much of a chance anyway." "Hey!" Zita and Monique yelled simultaneously. ====== (Junior's POV) I couldn't believe what I had just heard. This girl, this friend of Kim Possible's... she wanted to go out with me! But her two friends weren't that bad-looking either. I couldn't pick just one... I had to give them all a chance! "How about I date all three of you at once? We could do it just like that show where the guy romances several girls at once, and then eliminates the ones he doesn't like until he's left with his one true love!" They all gasped shockingly, though in a good way, as if they agreed with the idea. I'm sure they had to, if they want to save their own lives. But it at least gave me a shot at courting them. Too bad Father didn't agree, whacking me with his walking stick. "Junior! They are friends of Kim Possible! I forbid you to date any of them!" "Why do you do this to me, father? I can't date Kim Possible, I can't date her friends... do you not want to me to get down with a member of the opposite sex?" "Son, you must understand..." As usual, he went into his rant about whom I could and couldn't date. I had listened to it and ignored it a thousand times before. So what makes this time any different? Luckily, it seemed as if his lecture was shorter than usual. Maybe it's because the little vixens were trying to escape while we were distracted much. "I'm afraid you have more important things to worry about than any mere skin condition," Father said aloud. I watched as he started lowering them into the stream of piranha. Sigh... I lose more girls that way, it seems. ====== (Bonnie's POV) As we were being lowered into the stream of piranha that were about to devour us, I began to panic. Of course I'm in a panic! Do I look like fish bait to you? "Okay... anyone have any bright ideas?" Monique asked. "We're going to bite the big one!" Bonnie screamed. "Not helping at all here, Bonnie!" Zita shouted at me. "Kim is so, so going to pay for this!" "Good luck trying to get her to fit the bill!" Resorting to desperate measures, we did our best to escape our bonds. There was no way we were going to let it end like this. Especially me. There's so much more to life I'm looking forward to! And I'm much too beautiful to be eaten by some stupid sharp-toothed mutant fish! "It's gonna take a miracle to save us now!" I shouted. Suddenly, the metal doors behind the Seniors parted ways, and Kim and Ron ran through, both with determined looks on their faces. "Well, at least it's something," I muttered. "Hold it right there, Señor Senior, Sr!" Kim exclaimed, pointing at him. "Ah, so the main attraction has arrived!" Senor smirked, happy at another battle with Kim, it seemed. "Kim Possible!" Junior said in his deepest voice. "I see you continue to visit to see my charming good looks, despite your constant resisting to it." "You'd think he'd get the point that you're not interested," Ron told Kim as the two walked down the ramp. "Let the girls go!" Kim yelled, noticably ignoring to respond to Ron's comment. "Why should we?" Senior stated. "Especially when we have you right where we want you?" I tried to listen into more of the conversation, but I was distracted by Monique and Zita's constant movements, causing us to swing back and forth over the stream which drew ever closer. "Just a little bit more..." Monique said, barely loud enough for me to hear. I looked up and saw the strands of rope above us unwinding by the threads. After one last trip back and forth, they broke, sending us falling to the ground. Luckily, we were angled enough so that we wouldn't land in the stream of hungry piranha below. Unluckily for the guys we were after, we landed on top of them. "This is not what I meant by having three girls at once," Junior remarked, lying underneath our posteriors. "You and your friends have won this round, Kim Possible!" Senior exclaimed, shaking his fist. "Next time, we will be the victors!" "Perish the thought," Kim smiled, smugly smirking as if she didn't fear him at all. Not that it was easy to fear the old guy in the first place anyway. ====== (From this point on, from 3rd-Person POV) [Two-and-a-half Hours Later, Middleton High School] After disabling the ice-melting ray and sending the Seniors off to jail, Kim, Ron, Monique, Bonnie, and Zita returned to the Middleton High Courtyard. They were all tired after the long excursion, and with the sun already set, the stars were already out on this Friday night. "Dang girl," Monique said, "I still can't get over how you make this whole thing look so easy!" "Come on, Monique, it's no big!" Kim said. "Helping people is what I do." "Too bad you can't help those two," Monique replied, pointing at Ron and Zita. "They didn't look at each other the whole ride back!" Bonnie exclaimed. "You'd think they used to be a couple!" At the word 'couple,' both Ron and Zita got extremely nervous. "Couple?" Ron said aloud. "What makes you say that?" "Yep," Zita confirmed, "nothing attractive between the two of us!" Zita then glanced down at her watch and turned to run off. "Well, I'd better get going. See you all around..." "Thanks for the help, Zita!" Kim yelled after her. Before they knew it, Zita was gone. Ron tried to blow it off as nothing, but the other girls obviously noted his nervousness. "Oh, don't worry about it, we're still friends! You know, friends as in we talk once in awhile, just checking up on each other..." "He's so in denial," Bonnie rolled her eyes. "Ten months deep," Monique added. "I'd better get Ron to Bueno Nacho before he does something crazy, like go after Zita and try to make up with her," Kim said, starting to walk off. "Hold it right there!" Bonnie exclaimed, grabbing Kim's left arm. "What's your ish?" Monique stepped forward to provide an explanation. "Well, you see, it took a little bit of deal-making to get Bonnie to come along with Zita and I." Kim sighed, as she kind of had an idea of what torture her rival had dreamed up for her. "Let me guess..." ====== "Personal servant for the weekend?" "Times two." Kim and Monique were dressed in maid outfits as they stood on Bonnie's back porch at her house, bright and early the next morning. Kim was holding a tray with a glass of water and a bowl of salad on it, while Monique was brandishing a hand duster. "Where did she dig these things up from anyway?" "You don't think she's that kind of girl, do you?" Kim looked oddly at Monique's strange suggestion, but at the same time, she looked as if she shared the same sentiments. "You know what? Nothing surprises me about Bonnie anymore." "Kim!" Bonnie yelled. "I'm dying of thirst over here!" The duo glanced over to see Bonnie lying face up on a lawn chair, wearing nothing but sunglasses and a one-piece blue and white swimsuit. "Monique?" "Yeah, Kim?" "Remind me to tell Wade the next time I need backup, tell him not to listen to me." "You got that right." "Kim!" Despite the humilation she was being put through, Kim put her best attitude forward and smiled from ear to ear as she walked over towards Bonnie. "Coming!" she yelled in the sweetest voice possible. ****** Author's Notes: Well, that was a fun little side story. So Monique, Bonnie, and even often forgotten little Zita get some time in the spotlight. And so do the Seniors, who are really underused by 'Kim Possible' fanfiction writers... considering they're KP's #2 villains, unofficially. I tried to keep the girls' personalities in check... obviously, Zita was the hardest as she only appeared in two episodes, and I kinda had to extend her known character traits out to make her stand out. Monique and Bonnie were much easier to deal with, though there were minor extensions for them too. Anyone catch the fact that Monique's ringtone, 'Supernatural,' is actually sung by Monique's VA, Raven-Symone? Come on... of course ya did! And, before anyone asks... yes, this is probably all you'll get out of me in the Ron/Zita debate. It should stay that way, considering the show ended in a Kim/Ron pairing. But that shouldn't stop anyone thinking of writing a Ron/Zita fic. Haven't seen too many of those, and it would be interesting to see what kind of a stir that would cause. Bonnie with a penchant for maid costumes? Or just embarrassing herself buying them so that she could humiliate Kim and Monique? You decide! ****** Anyway... everyone's doing it, so now it's my turn! Later this fall, I take my shot at a post 'So the Drama' fanfic piece! And Kim and Ron are graduating from high school! (Okay, so I missed the graduation season by a few months, but work with me here!) But before they can get their diplomas, there's plenty of things to worry about. What college will our heroes attend? Will Ron pass his final exams? Will Kim be given a superlative worthy of her name? And most importantly, where does their relationship go after their first kiss at the prom? But even before all of that is settled... Kim and Ron face a crossroad, as they go up against a villain so sinister, so intelligent, and so blood-thirsty that he'll kill anyone, friend or foe, that gets in his way of taking over the world! Enough with the small fries like Drakken and Dementor... Kim's entering the real world, and she'll have to fight just to make it to commencement day! A fanfic of epic proportions! Presenting... "Big Time." The story that proves how the animated series would've gone if I had my way. No, seriously, I'm not joking. All the action, comedy, drama, and romance you can stand! The Kim Possible fanfic "Big Time"... coming in November 2005! ****** Well, that's the fanfic! Don't forget to review to your heart's content, and while you're waiting for my next KP piece, don't forget to check out many of my other fanfics! Until next time!
