(End theme song, with a picture of all 16 contestants standing with Flame Terminal behind them in the background.) = = = = = = = = = = Uncut Session 2 (05.05.03) Tenchi, the host of the show, appears in front of a building in Hamburger Village. Tenchi: Welcome back, everyone! Are you ready to see more stuff that was cut out from the series? Great! Tonight, you're going to see scenes from Episodes 6 through 9. The biggest concern for the past two weeks was the fact that Digimon were attacking them for no apparent reason. And Gatomon was the first near casualty because of it. ====== 6-A: Not child's play - A Digimon battle does have dire consequences James and Tally sit in front of the TV, watching one of the 'Digimon Tamers' DVDs... but Yusuke doesn't look as if he's ready to join them. Yusuke: Why are you two watching that dribble? Tally: Hey! I happen to be a part of that very dribble! James: (pointing at Terriermon on the screen) That looks like it could be a Pokémon. Tally: For the last time James, there is no such creature that is a Pokémon and a Digimon! Yusuke: Well, there could be if you ever bred them. Tally: What are you talking about? Digimon are just data. How can data conceive a child with a living organism like a Pokémon? Yusuke: I think they can, especially after that girl Rini got attacked by those Digimon a few days ago. Tally: I guess you have a point there... the Tamers Digimon did get hurt during the battle with the D-Reaper... Yusuke: Why someone would want to create a monster spawned from a Pokémon and a Digimon is anyone's guess. Frankly, I hope it never happens. It would probably create the worst show in the world... you know, they'll probably title it 'Pogimon,' 'Dikémon,' or even worse yet, 'Pokédigi Mon-mon!' James: Ooooh! I'd like to capture a Pokédigi Mon-mon! Yusuke: You're an idiot, James... did you know that? James: Hey! Tally: Come on, you two. I don't need you guys arguing while I'm trying to watch! But Tally would never get back to watching, for at that very moment, Takuya bursts through the cabin's front door, with Amy right behind him. Takuya: Out of the way! We've got an injured Digimon here! That immediately grabbed everyone's attention as Amy placed Gatomon on top of the kitchen counter. Jet: What in the world happened to her? Amy M.: No time to explain! If we don't hurry, we'll lose her! Tally: Lose her? We have to act fast! Nabiki: (runs to the kitchen) I'll try and find something to cover her wounds. Tally: Hold on! If Gatomon's a Digimon, that means she's made of data. And to bring her back to normal, she needs to regain that data back! Takuya: Data... that's it! Amy, I have an idea! Stand aside! Amy M.: Huh? What do you... Takuya: Trust me on this! This is our only hope! Takuya took out his D-Tector and held it up to Gatomon. Takuya: Come on... heal Gatomon! The D-Tector begins to glow before streams of data shoot out of it and into Gatomon's body. Everyone watches in amazement as Gatomon slowly comes back to life. Gatomon: (slowly sitting up) Wha? What happened? Takuya: Yes! It worked! Amy M.: Amazing! What a miracle! Tally: I knew that would work! Great job, Takuya! The group breathes a heavy sigh of relief now that Gatomon is safe. ====== 6-B: Ah, one of the side effects of drinking (PG-13 scene) Jet is walking back to the cabin as Tally observes him from the porch. But what surprises her is what she sees Jet holding onto with his right hand. Jet: (stumbling around) You won't believe what I found. Tally: (running over) Jet... are you okay? Tally sees that the object in Jet's hand is a half-empty liquor bottle. Tally: (gasps) Where did you get that from? Jet: It seems that Digimon can't get enough of the stuff. Whoo! As Jet continues to stumble around, Tally shakes her head. Tally: (with her face in the camera) One reason why I rarely drink. She moves away and we see Jet fall backwards on the ground... and laugh about it. Tally: (sighs) I still can't believe you found that just lying around. Jet: (still lying down) People can be careless. Digimon too. Tally: (shakes her head) I don't believe this. Jet: 'Bout the 'mon? Tally: Yeah! Are you sure it wasn't something one of the cameramen left behind? Tally then gives the cameraman the evil eye, as he steps back a few feet in fear. Jet: There was some slimy thing... licking it. Tally: And you went on and drinked it? (yelling towards the cabin) Hey, I need a little help out here! Amy comes out of the cabin and takes a look at Jet. Amy M.: What happened to him? Tally: Some type of liquor or saké. He found it a Digimon licking at it when he picked up and drank from it. Or so he says. Amy M.: Maybe I should give you a check-up. You don't look so well. Jet: (sits up) I'm fine-al! Jet then plops right back down... and promptly falls asleep, snoring and all. Tally and Amy try to wake Jet, but their efforts fail. Amy M.: I guess we should let him sleep. Tally: But not out here. Not with all the wild Digimon. Amy M.: (heading back inside) I'll get some of the guys to help us. She returns shortly thereafter with James, Keith, and Yusuke in tow. Together, the three men lift Jet up and drag him back inside. James: (pulling Jet's left arm) My back hurts! Yusuke: (pulling the other) Oh, stop being a wuss and pull! Keith: (carrying Jet's feet) Just get a move on! His boots alone weigh a ton! ====== Tenchi: I know Jet's from the future and all, but someone should've told him that you're not to supposed to drink from a bottle you find being licked by a Digimon. Who knows where it's been? Sheesh... anyway, let's move on to Day 10, where there was plenty of action before the group had to tackle a challenge that starred a familiar pink ball of fluff. ====== 6-C: Trunks' early morning workout The sun had just risen, but Trunks was already coming out of his tent. Dressed in his training attire, he did a few stretches before heading out on a little pre-breakfast jog. Trunks: You know, this place isn't so bad. Plenty of open space to run and get in some practice training too. Finding a small open meadow, Trunks starts exercising, martial arts style! He practiced punching, kicking, dodging, and charging nearby trees. Needless to say, many of them couldn't stand up to Trunks' super saiyan strength, and as a result, it wasn't long before the ring of trees surrounding the meadow fell down. Trunks: That was fun! (quickly looks around) I just hope I didn't anger any Digimon by knocking down all the trees. But just to be safe... Trunks turns tail and starts running back towards camp. Trunks: (shouting back at the cameraman) If anyone asks, I wasn't here! ====== 6-D: The doctor checks up on her patient Gatomon is lying still on the counter as Amy M. examines her wounds from the beating she got yesterday. Takuya looks on with concern, but breathes a sigh of relief when Amy gives him a thumbs up. Amy M.: It doesn't look like any bones are broken, and the wounds should heal, give a day or two. Takuya: I'm glad. Gatomon: Me too. I'm definitely not the couch potato-type of Digimon. Takuya: But what are we going to do about these Digimon? We've got to go out and see if there are more. Amy M.: I don't know... we shouldn't go upsetting the balance of nature. Besides, it might just be the Digimon protecting their territory. We shouldn't jump to any conclusions. Takuya: (shrugs his shoulders) If you say so, Amy. Takuya walks off, not catching the evil smirk on Amy's face. Gatomon didn't see it either, because she was still lying down, staring up at the ceiling. No one else would either, because Amy's cheerful persona reappears when Yusuke comes into the cabin with a piece of paper inside. On the way in, he kicks Keith awake. Keith: (getting up) What's the deal, tweeb? Yusuke: If you don't get up, you're going to miss the next challenge. Tally: (takes the sheet of paper from Yusuke and reads over it) This game requires dexterity, a good eye, and patience to win. Amy M.: It might be a challenge that requires us to put something together. Yusuke: It better not be! That sounds so stupid! Keith: Stupid or not, you gotta compete if you want the money. Unless you're giving up. Yusuke: Hardly. Just watch. Whatever the challenge, I'm gonna win it! ====== Tenchi: Heh. Strong words from Yusuke, predicting that he could win before he even knew what the challenge was. Who knew that the message was actually referring to a video game known as 'Kirby's Dream Course.' And although Yusuke and his 'roommate' Haruka fared pretty well, they didn't win. A few of the other teams, meanwhile, struggle in the early going. One doesn't even make it past the third hole. ====== 6-E: Third time's not the charm... only 'cause there's not a third time Several montage shots of the teams playing Hole 3 of Course 3, easily disposing of all of the monsters, except for one. We see Trunks sink the shot, giving him and Yugi a three. The next team is the Yellow Team of Trowa and Trunks. It's Trowa's turn to shoot; it's his team's third shot on the hole. Trowa: (hits the ball) This ought to do it. Unfortunately, Trowa did not account for the hump in the terrain that sat between him and the hole. Thus, Kirby veered left of the hole, stopping a few feet off of its mark. Takuya: Man, I thought we had that one! Takuya is seen sinking Kirby on his shot, giving them a score of four for the hole. A little later on, we look in on the Blue Team (Nabiki and Whitney). They came in one stroke behind the leaders after the first two holes, but the third hole would also give them trouble. Especially considering whose shot it was. Nabiki: Okay Whit, sink this and we keep pace! Just one behind! Whitney: Nabiki, please! I need to concentrate! As Nabiki calms down, Whitney takes a deep breath and give herself a few seconds to prepare herself for the shot. But it's here that we notice that the hump that gave Trowa trouble is also here, standing between Whitney and the hole. Whitney: (with her eyes closed) This one's going in... I can feel it! Maybe she should have kept her eyes open, for her trajectory also did not take account the hump. Her ball also veers left of the hole, though not as much as Trowa's had. It was enough to just miss the hole, and Nabiki had to come in and do a simple tap in to finish up. Blue Team also gets a score of four. But bad luck would be plentiful for the Black Team (Keith and Rini), the last team to come to the third hole. Off to a bad start, having shot 8 over the first two holes, they needed to play well here. Unfortunately, it wasn't going to happen. Keith leads off well, getting rid of the first monster and putting Kirby in a position to hit the second. Rini, though, misjudged the power of her shot and came up just short. With one tomato left, it's Keith's shot. Keith: If I hit this just right, it'll smash that monster, bounce off the wall, and into the newly materialized hole! Simple! He hits it and succeeds in taking out the second monster, revealing the hole. Kirby bounces off the wall and stops about ten feet short. Keith: You'd better not screw this up! You've only got one shot at this! Rini: I won't! Leave it to me! Those would be Rini's famous last words, as she struggled here as she had on the first two holes. She never got used to pressing the swing button at the right time to get the right amount of power. It played key here, as she hit the ball too strongly this time. Kirby rolls to the hole, trips over the back lip, and comes to a stop... two feet past the hole. That was their last shot... Keith and Rini were the earliest ones eliminated from the challenge. Keith: (taking off the VR helmet) I can't believe this! As Keith storms off to go vent, Rini takes off her helmet, saddened by their result. Rini: (CC) I didn't learn the game as quickly as I should have, and that's why I wasn't any good. That game's a whole lot tougher to master than I thought. Rini steps back and watches the other teams continue on with the challenge. ====== Tenchi: The challenge sorted the cast again, with some moving to the cabin and others to the campsite. The change of scenery and familiar faces sparked up some new and interesting conversations, such as these... ====== 7-A: Up for a little boytalk? Approaching another apple tree, it's now James's turn to climb and pick. Trunks: Hey Yugi... what's up with you and the girls? Yugi: What do you mean? Trunks: The other day, during the rainstorm. Amy and Rini were in your tent. Yugi: I was just teaching them to play Duel Monsters. You're the one who found us together. I thought I told you that. Trunks: How can you stand being around them? Yugi: What do you mean? Trunks: They're girls, Yugi! You know, the type that plays around with dolls and junk. (crosses his arms over his chest) They're such babies. Yugi: You mean you hate them? Trunks: I don't hate them. I just hate the way they are. Tell me... why are girls like that anyway? Yugi: (shrugs his shoulders) I don't know. They're born that way, I guess. Trunks: Things would be a whole lot more fun if the girls did the same thing boys did. Yugi: I don't know... girls do have their merits. Trunks: Like what? Yugi: Well... Their talk was interrupted when a few apples fell from above. Once the trio had gathered those into the basket, they decided to head back to camp. Trunks: Yugi, you didn't answer my question. Yugi: Oh. Well, you see Trunks, girls are more in tune with their emotions. They know when you're happy, when you're sad, or when you're angry. And they always know the right things to say. Trunks: Now that I think of it, my mom's kinda like that. James: I wish I had someone like that close to me. Yugi: You mean you don't? James: Well, I do have this girl I hang around. But she's not the type to encourage. Yugi: She's not. James: She's basically the leader of our team, so she can be quite bossy sometimes. I feel that she cares about herself way too much. Trunks: You know, doesn't that sound a bit like Whitney? James: You're right! Well, not exactly, but she's close enough. (growling angry) Why are there women in my life that do nothing but make my life miserable? Yugi: Aren't you guys going a little overboard? Whitney is pretty nice. Trunks: It's only because you hang around her a lot! Yugi: So? I'm sure that once you two get to know her, you'll like her too! James: I'll never like her! She's too much of a goody goody for my taste! Trunks: She can be bossy at times. Plus, she argues a lot. She especially seems to be having a hard time getting along with Yusuke. Yugi: Everyone's having a hard time getting along with Yusuke, Trunks. We can't hold that against her! James: Yes, we can! Yugi: No, we can't. Why are you guys so hard on her anyway? Especially you, James! Aren't you two from the same show? James: That's the only thing we have in common! Nothing more! I don't like her kind and she doesn't like me. That's all there is to it. Trunks: Look, Yugi. If you like her that much, then fine. But stop convincing us of the same. I have my own views of Whitney, and so does James. The three are now back on the campsite grounds, as they cease their conversation when they see the rest of the group waiting for them. ====== 7-B: Another mouth to feed? Tally wiped the sweat off of her forehead as she finished preparing the last of the group's breakfast at the cabin. Other than Amy Rose, who was still eating at the table, Tally was the only one who hadn't eaten. Tally: I'm just glad that Trunks is over at the campsite now. Let Nabiki, Whitney, and the others worry about filling his massive stomach for a few days. At least now I don't have to cook an army's worth of food! Suddenly, Tally felt someone tap on her shoulder. She turned around and saw Guilmon standing behind her. Guilmon: Hi! Guilmon hungry! Tally: (smiles) I think there's enough left to feed the three of us. Amy R.: (getting up from her seat) Are you sure, Tally? Tally blinks, wondering what Amy meant by that question. But she didn't wonder long, as she watched Guilmon eat all of the food still on the table in less than a minute. Tally: You could've left me some, Guilmon. Guilmon: Sorry. (looks sad) Ummmm... Tally: Is something wrong? Guilmon: (holding his stomach) Guilmon still hungry. Me want more! Tally fell backwards, off of her seat. Amy laughs as she exits from the kitchen. Amy R.: Guilmon's a growing 'mon, Tally. You'd better be prepared to feed him a lot. Tally: (just before fainting) Thanks for the warning... ====== Tenchi: It seems that the sixteen Roomies were getting into the game, openly expressing their views on each other and debating who to work with. But once again, it would be a Digimon that would bring the group together. He holds up a Raremon caricature, which, thankfully, doesn't smell like garbage. Tenchi: Getting rid of the Raremon was a task in itself, but it was taken care of. Cleaning up after it, though, was an entirely different matter... ====== 7-C: Washing the smell out of your skin Immediately after the Raremon was taken care of, the campmates began to restore the camp to its former self. Nabiki and Rini kept their eye on the boiling pot of breakfast, making sure that the food was still edible and not covered in sludge. James, Jet, Keith, and Yugi were sweeping up the sludge and the dead plant life and gathering it all in trash bags. Whitney, meanwhile, is busy giving Milty a bath in one of the empty crates. It's been filled with water from the water tank. She figured it was worth it... after all, it was the quickest way to get rid of the rancid smell. Whitney: (brushing the top of Milty's head) Hold on a little longer, Milty. I'm almost done! Milty: (gritting her teeth, but hanging in there) Mil... Whitney: (puts the brush down) Okay Milty, we're done! She takes out Milty's Pokéball and uses it to recall Miltank. Whitney: One down and one to go... you ready? ??????: (from his tent) I'm not coming out! Whitney: There's nothing to worry about! Besides, if you don't get clean, everyone's going to force you out of camp! Keith: You'd better listen to her, Trunks! Unless you really want to go home. Trunks: Fine. Using his super speed, he quickly flies from his tent and into the crate, creating a big splash that manages to get Whitney's hair wet. Trunks pops out a second later, and is greeted by a not too pleased gym leader. Whitney: After I'm done with you, you're helping me fix my hair. With that, she proceeds to scrub the filth off of Trunks. Some of the others look on with interest. Rini: (pouting) At least he gets to take a bath. ====== Tenchi: Of course, this Digimon attack, combined with the incident involving two Kabuterimon, made a lot of the Roomies worry. To ensure their safety, we decided to make the trip to Hamburger Village a day earlier than expected. The trip went pretty uneventful, but when they found out that we were all staying at a hotel, they were overjoyed. Especially those who hadn't take a shower in days, or hadn't enjoyed real life in weeks. ====== 7-D: More water play with two different Roomies Trunks is sitting on top of his bed in his hotel room, trying to find something to watch on Digiworld television. But his viewing experience isn't helped by the fact that his assigned roommate is in the bathroom, singing in the shower. James: (singing horribly) I'm on the road to Viridian City! Meet my friends along the way! Trunks: (yelling) Will you pipe down? Do you want all of the Digimon in the hotel to come barking at our doorstep? Suddenly, someone knocks at their door. Trunks: (hopping off the bed) We've gotta one already. (shouting to James) Don't expect me to help you if the Digimon come over there to get you for your bad singing. Trunks opened the door. Luckily for James, there was no Digimon on the other side. There was, however, Nabiki. Trunks: What do you want? Nabiki: James! Trunks: He's taking a shower... (hears the shower turn off) well, he was taking one. Nabiki: I need to talk to him... alone. Trunks: Couldn't you wait until... Nabiki: (making her way past Trunks) He still owes me a few hours of work. She entered the room and directed her gaze towards the bathroom door. Trunks ran over to the door and stuck his arms out to the side, becoming a human barricade. Trunks: You can't go in there! Nabiki: (smiles, then sits down on one of the beds) I'll just wait for him to come out then. Trunks: But you can't... Before Trunks could finish his statement, the door behind him opens. Steam comes pouring out, as does James, dressed in nothing but a brown towel. James: What's with all the... Nabiki: It's about time! Remember our deal, James? James ducks back into the bathroom, only leaving his head visible to Nabiki. James: (blushing with embarrassment) What are you doing in here? Nabiki: Our deal. You know, the one you made with me yesterday morning so that I could cook breakfast faster? Well, you still owe me a few hours. James: But I helped you cook, clean, organize, pack... I did everything imaginable and a whole lot more! Nabiki: You offered to work with me for the whole day. James: The whole day yesterday! Nabiki: But we didn't have the whole day available to us. You owe me three hours worth of service. James: Could you at least let me get dressed first? Nabiki: (sighs) I guess that would be alright. You can't walk the streets wearing nothing but a towel. James: Walk the streets? Just where are you taking me? ====== 7-E: It doesn't pay to be a slave Fully dressed, James and Nabiki are now walking the streets of Hamburger Village. James is sulking as he trots along, but Nabiki seems to be beaming with joy. Maybe it's because of the fact that they've been walking for so long, and while James is tired, Nabiki is busy searching for an unsuspecting Digimon to swindle. James: You dragged me out of my hotel room for a three-hour tour? A three-hour TOUR? Nabiki: Nonsense! I'd never torture you like that! James: Then why? Why bring me out here? Nabiki: I thought you'd jump at the chance to earn some money. At the mention of the word 'money,' James's eyes lit up with dollar bill signs. James: Did you say money? Nabiki: (nods) Yep. (points to a nearby Burgermon) And that little one there's our meal ticket. The Burgermon that Nabiki is pointing too is walking in front of a restaurant, holding a tray of burger meat samples. Burgermon: Free samples! Free samples! Nabiki: (pulling James over) Excuse me, but we need to ask for a little favor. James: (gritting his teeth) What are you doing, Nabiki? Nabiki: (whispering) Just play along! Burgermon: What is it? Nabiki: My boyfriend here and I are gamblin' types, and we'd like to make a little wager. James: That's right... um... sugar plum! Nabiki: The game's easy, child. All you have to do is guess how many fingers are behind my back. Do you work for this restaurant behind you? Burgermon: Yes. My parents own it. Nabiki: Here's the deal then! If you can correctly guess how many fingers I'm holding behind my back, my boyfriend here will buy all the burgers we can eat! James: What? But honey dumpling! Nabiki: Dear, quiet! (to the Burgermon) But if you guess incorrectly, you have to pay for our Trailmon tickets. Do we have a deal? The Burgermon took a minute to think about whether he should accept the deal. James: (whispering to Nabiki) This won't work! Nabiki: (whispering back) If you keep whispering, he'll get suspicious! Just let things play out! Finally, the young Burgermon agrees to the terms of the deal. Burgermon: You've got yourself a deal! Nabiki: Great! Nabiki then places both of her hands behind her back. She begins putting random fingers up and down, until she settles on how many fingers she wants. Nabiki: Okay... how many fingers do I have behind my back? Burgermon: Um... three? As Nabiki begins to present her hands, we see that there are three fingers up, all on her left hand. But before the Burgermon could see this, she quickly lifted one up, making four. Nabiki: (holding up four fingers) Sorry kid, looks like we win! The Burgermon knows that he's been beaten and searches his pocket for fare money. He manages to come up with enough for the trip... that Nabiki and James will never take. Once their business is done, the happy 'couple' leaves and heads back to the hotel. James: I can't believe it actually worked! (seriously) And I can't believe you made him think I was your boyfriend! Nabiki: I had to make him believe that you had seen me do this before and that I was legit. I just had to hope that he'd buy it and that he wouldn't realize that the odds of him winning were slim to none. James: So, how much of the cut do I get? Nabiki pulls out the money Burgermon gave her and counts it. Nabiki: 3750 yen... that's about 30 dollars American. James: I don't care if you're paying me in bottle caps! Just give me something! Nabiki: Okay! Nabiki hands James just 50 yen... equivalent in American terms to one quarter, one dime, and one nickel... or in other words, forty cents. James: Hey! Nabiki: It was my idea and I did all the work! In all reality, I should be getting the whole thing. But since you helped me pull off the charade, you're entitled to a little compensation. James: Little? This is miniscule! I demand a bigger cut! Nabiki: You can't demand anything! You're my slave, remember? James: Not anymore! Your three hours are up! As a member of Team Rocket, I now take it upon myself to take the money that you just took from that Digimon! Nabiki: (getting into a fighting pose) Are you sure you wanna try? I come from a long line of martial arts, and trust me, I know a few moves. Of course, Nabiki really didn't know any martial arts moves herself. But her bluff was working to perfection, as James seems to be intimidated and unwilling to attack. James: I'll let you slide this time. But you'd better watch your back, for this Team Rocket member will have his revenge! Nabiki: We'll see about that. The two walked back to the hotel separately, not really wanting to be with each other anymore since their master-slave partnership was done with. ====== 7-F: Yes, Digimon do know fashion! In another part of the village, Amy M., Rini, Rally, and Amy R. are out in the local mall, shopping for souvenirs and stuff. But they have managed to stumble their way into a Digimon clothing shop. On display were the Digiworld's most famous designer clothing lines, destined to make Digimon look stylish. Well, the ones that actually wore clothes anyway. Amy R.: (holding up a Lillymon dress) What about this one? How does it look? Rini: That's definitely you, Amy! Amy R.: (giggles) Sonic'll love it when he sees me in this! Rally: (searching for clothes with Amy M.) Who would've thought that Digimon actually wore clothes, much less know how to make them? Amy M.: Not many Digimon wear clothes, Rally. Only certain types do. It's like a Digimon's genes determine that, just the same as they distinguish their looks, their body structure, and their gender. Rally: You've been talking with Tally, haven't you? Amy M.: Yeah... she seems to have a lot of her own theories about the Digiworld. Rally: Does she have any about why the Digimon keep attacking us? Amy M.: Not any that haven't already been thought up by someone. She's just as baffled as the rest of us. Rally: If those Digimon try to mess with us again, I'll teach them a lesson they'll never forget. Amy M.: I hope it doesn't get to the point where we're all fighting against them. Rally: Me neither. The number of Digimon we'd have to take down is outrageous! If they decided to attack us all at once, we wouldn't stand a chance! Amy M.: That's why we have to figure out what's going on before it escalates to that point. For all our sakes. Amy R.: (running up to the duo) I'm done! Rini: So am I! Let's pay for our clothes and get back to the hotel! Rally: (glancing around) I guess we should. There's nothing here that's going to fit me anyway. The four girls head off to pay for their purchases, and then they return to their rooms back at the hotel. ====== Tenchi: The following day, the cast would participate in a Roomies-scale version of The Great Trailmon Race. The blue team, led by Amy M., won the challenge. The race drew a lot of Digimon to watch. But in the next competition, they would go from having Digimon watch them to having Digimon help them. A few furries helped out too, as you'll see here. ====== 8-A: A little Leaf Fair trading in action! Show a montage of scenes as the teams run around while towing wagons full of an assortment of items. Tenchi: (VO) The hardest part of the Autumn Leaf Fair trading challenge was finding the right person to exchange items with. That's a lot harder than it sounds, as many of the Roomies found out. Amy R.: Can I interest you in a stuffed teddy bear? Otamamon: Sorry, not interested! Amy R.: It's very cuddly! Tally: (picks up the D-Arc from the wagon) How about this? Otamamon: Don't have a use for it! Amy R.: (pointing to the potted plant) Can we trade a plant? Otamamon: If it were a bit bigger, then it could provide me with some shade. But since it's not... no deal! Tally: (points to a Digi-egg behind Otamamon) We really need that Digi-egg! Is there anything in our wagon that you'd trade for it? Otamamon looked over the contents, and then shook his head. Otamamon: Nope. Nothing. Amy R.: That's the sixth Digimon in a row that's turned us down! Tally: Someone's gotta want this stuff. We just have to figure out who. Meanwhile, James and Jet were wandering down a side street when one of the vendors grabs their attention. Jet: That looks like an electric guitar. Let's see if we can get it. James: (walking up to the stand) Excuse me, but we wish to make a transaction. Etemon: Uh-huh-huh! You want to make a deal with me, the great Etemon? Jet: (points at the guitar) Look, we want your guitar? Willing to trade for it? Etemon: That's one of my best stage guitars. Played that one at Digistock a few years back. I'll trade for it, but it'll have to be something special. James: You look like a bowler, so how about a bowling ball? Etemon: Etemon does not bowl! It makes him look like a sweaty monkey! Jet: Okay... how about a magical hat? Etemon: I don't need magic! I already have enough in my own fingers. They give me the gift of music, yes they do. James goes over to pick up the potted plant, but in doing so, he reveals the stuffed teddy bear. Etemon: (pointing to the bear) A bear? Where did you get that from? Jet: It's ours. Do you want it? Etemon: Yes! Jet: Just give us the guitar and it's yours! James: It's a steal! You won't find a better deal anywhere else! Etemon: Hmmm... you drive a hard bargain, but we've got a deal... uh-huh-huh! Etemon gives the duo the electric guitar and receives the bear in exchange. Jet: That's two... let's move on! James: (pumping his fist in the air) We're on a roll! ====== 8-B: In-stand camera at the Leaf Fair with Fetch and Littlekitty Fetch: We've got Gatomon plushies to trade! Anyone want them? Littlekitty: Where is everyone? I thought there were more teams than this! At this point in time, there are less than 15 minutes left in the challenge. Suddenly, the duo spots a pair pulling a wagon. This happens to be Yugi and Trunks, who are looking to collect a Gatomon plushie, the last item on their list. Trunks: There's gotta be a stand around here that sells them. Yugi: We're running out of time! If we don't find it soon... hey, there it is! Seeing the furries' stand, the young duo trots over with their wagon in tow. Yugi: We'd like a Gatomon plushie, please. Fetch: Do you have a feathered wing? Trunks: I think I remember getting one earlier! As Trunks searched for a wing in the wagon, Amy Rose and Tally come around the corner and see the Gatomon plushies hanging from the furries' booth as well. Trunks: Found it! Trunks hands the wing to Fetch as Littlekitty hands over the plushie to Yugi. Yugi: Thank you! Trunks: We've got everything, Yugi! If we hurry back, we might just win this challenge! As Yugi and Trunks run off as fast as possible, Amy and Tally come up to the booth. Tally: That's a Gatomon plushie alright. Amy R.: Can we have it? Pretty please? Littlekitty: Do you have a feathered wing? Fetch: Hey... you're a furry just like us! Littlekitty: I never thought we'd see one here! Amy R.: Thanks! Fetch: What are you doing in a place like this? Littlekitty: Yeah... there are so many wild Digimon in these parts. Amy R.: I'm here to win the grand prize! Tally: (hands over the wing) Here you go. Fetch: (gives Amy the plushie) And here's the plushie, as promised! Amy R.: Thanks! Tally: (glances at her list) That just leaves the chef's hat to get. Amy R.: (waving goodbye) See ya! Littlekitty: Good luck! Fetch: Win one for the furries! ====== Tenchi: It's nice to see some friendly faces in a hostile environment. And speaking of one, the Roomies soon after headed back to the campsite. On the way there, two pairs of competitors with something in common got together. ====== 9-A: Yes, bounty hunters can get along... (PG-13 scene) It's the middle of the night as the Roomies make the trip back to the campsite. But one Roomie in particular can't sleep. So he's decided to go outside of the car and have a little smoke while he reflects on things. Jet: Nineteen days. Never thought being in the past would be so interesting. (takes a puff from his cigar) But I really do miss being in space. I wonder what the gang's up to. (smiles) I bet Spike and Faye are at each other's throats. And Ed's probably typing away at her computer, as usual. Suddenly, Jet hears the Trailmon car door open. Rally steps out, brushing back her hair a little so that it wouldn't cover her face. Rally: Don't mind me. I couldn't sleep either. Jet: Worried about what we'll see when we get back? Rally: A little. I mean, what happens if those Digimon are waiting for us? Jet: I'm sure everything'll be alright. We wouldn't be heading back there if it wasn't. Rally: Yeah. The two stood silently, on opposite sides of the door, for a minute or two, just admiring the wind blow around and between the cars. Rally: This is what it should be like out here. Peaceful and tranquil, without having to worry about anything! Jet: Except winning the game. Rally: Well, yeah. But the reason we signed up for this was to get away from home. It was my reason, at least. You love the people you're around with a lot, but sometimes you get tired of them. Jet: And then you've gotta get away to save your friendship. Rally: Exactly! Jet: (after taking another puff) I'm more worried about what my crew will be like when I get back? Rally: I just hope Minnie-May hasn't turned the gun shop inside out! Jet and Rally share a laugh as they continue to discuss their bounty hunter stories. ====== 9-B: And so can Digimon cast members, even if they are from different seasons... The following morning, now riding Buffalo, Takuya and Tally have made their way to an empty car. Obviously, they were going to plan some strategy. Takuya: You want to work with me? Tally: Yeah! We're from the same show. Different incarnations, but technically the same show. Takuya: I can't believe you need me to survive! Tally: You sure you're the one who doesn't need me? Takuya: You don't have to worry about me! I already have enough people who like me! I'm going all the way to the final! Tally: Aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself? Takuya: You might have a point there... alright, I'll work with you. Another vote means another chance to go for the money! Tally: Great! Say... you want to work together to plot against a few people? Takuya: Sure! Just tell me when and where! Tally: We'll keep it low for now. We don't want anyone to suspect of our partnership yet. I'll let you know when we need to talk. Takuya: Got it! The two of them walked back to the main car, separately of course. ====== Tenchi: So, we all know what happened next. The Roomies got back and thought they were out of the woods. But it seems not. Will the Roomies get to the bottom of the Digimon attacks? And as we head into the second half of the game, who will learn to work together? Who will start to get on each other's nerves? Tune in and find out as the series resumes with Episode 10, next! I'm Tenchi Masaki, signing off for now! ==================== End Uncut Session Two ==================== ================== Additional Author's Notes ================== Fetch and Littlekitty, during their cameo in Episode 8, wanted me to a compose a scene with Amy Rose, because of the fact that she's a furry just like them. So, I granted them their wish! It's part of scene 8-B. Hope you two enjoyed it! I think everything else is pretty much self-explanatory, though I'll be happy to explain any scenes or references if you need me to. This uncut session was originally supposed to include 22 scenes, but I decided at press time to not write seven of those scenes. These scenes served no real purpose in the main storyline, and were not essential, so I excluded them. ======================== For the Fans ======================== Now, get up, stretch those legs and use the restroom if you need to. Then turn the page and check out the newest episode of the series! The third Uncut Session will be posted with Episode 14. It will cover scenes from Episodes 10-13. Until then... see ya!
