(End theme song, with a picture of all 16 contestants standing with Flame Terminal behind them in the background.) = = = = = = = = = = Episode 10 - The Facts Come Out (05.06.03) Day Twenty Things had taken a turn for the worst as an evil sorceror named Marik has taken over the bodies of Amy (Sailor Mercury) and Bandit Keith. Yugi, Yusuke, Trunks, and Agunimon stand around Mercury, trying to figure a way out of this predicament. Yugi: There's no need to bring Sailor Mercury or any of these innocent people into your game! This is between you and me, Marik! Mercury/Marik: On the contrary, Yugi. This is the perfect time to take the Millennium Puzzle, and I can use all of your friends here to get it! Yugi: You let go of Mercury right now! Mercury/Marik: Why should I? I have control of her and of all of you! With me controlling her with the Millennium Rod, you won't dare attack her! Yusuke: Millennium Rod, Schmenllium Rod. Whatever! I don't care who you are! You just better be ready to eat my fist! Agunimon: (his fists buring with rage) The same goes for me! Trunks: And me! Yugi: Guys, you can't! Mercury/Marik: Of course they can't! They wouldn't dare hurt one of their own! Yusuke: You're a real bastard, you know that? Mercury/Marik: Call me what you want now, but once I get Yugi's puzzle, I'll become the ruler of the world! Yusuke: That's all you bad guys want to do these days! Take over the world. Couldn't you have been more original? Mercury/Marik: I'm sorry if my plans upset you, but I intend to go through with them! Agunimon: Over our dead bodies! Yusuke: (glancing at Agunimon) You just HAD to say that, didn't you? Mercury/Marik: Very well then. Let's see what this Sailor Scout can do! Sailor Mercury began gathering energy for a water/ice attack, but no one knew which one. But they did know her intended target... Yugi. Mercury/Marik: Mercury Bubble Blast! In a matter of moments, the field was filled with fog. The group sitting inside the tent couldn't see the others, and vice versa. Yugi and Yusuke were next to each other, but they could barely make out Sailor Mercury as well as Trunks and Agunimon behind her. Mercury/Marik: What's the matter, pharoah? Can't see me? I'll help you... Sailor Mercury disappears from sight temporarily. She then reappears right in front of Yugi. She goes to punch him in the face, but Yusuke's spirit senses are so heightened that he easily steps in and blocks the punch with his hand. Mercury/Marik: (surprised) How? Yusuke: You should've done your homework. Especially with me! Yusuke pushes Sailor Mercury away, then brings his hands back to prepare for one of his spirit energy attacks. But Yugi stops him short. Yugi: Wait! We have to stop him without hurting her! Yusuke: How do you expect me to do that, genius? Yugi: (shouting into the fog) Takuya! Trunks! That goes for you too! The fog begins to dissipate, making things in the field visible again. Sailor Mercury was in the exact same place she had been before, and the foursome around them observed their 'enemy' with unwavering eyes. Trunks: We've gotta do something! Agunimon: Yeah, but what? We can't just attack her! Yugi: Stay calm, everyone. We will figure out a way to save her. (lowers his head) We must have faith if we are to win the day. Mercury/Marik: Faith won't be enough to stop me! ====== Meanwhile, Whitney was making her way towards the campsite, Pokéball in hand. She knew that there was some sort of evil presence there, and as a gym leader, she felt it was her duty to help out in any way she could. Whitney: (glancing around as she runs) It's gotta be around here somewhere. Suddenly, she stops dead in her tracks when she sees two shadowy figures heading her way. Whitney: (gripping her Pokéball tightly) Hey! Stop right where you are and identify yourselves! But when the two figures didn't stop their approach, Whitney began to become more tense. The duo quickly makes themselves visible, as Whitney gasps... ====== Not too far behind Whitney was Keith. Under the control of Marik, he was making his way to the campsite to help out his 'master.' Trowa was following at a distance, attempting to stay out of sight. Neither of them knew what awaited them just outside the campsite. ====== Mercury/Marik: Mercury Ice Bubbles Freeze! Sailor Mercury launces a concentrated ice attack right in Yugi's direction. Yusuke pulls Yugi out of harm's way once again, frustrating Marik even more. Mercury/Marik: That Millennium Puzzle will be mine! And I don't care who I have to go through to get it! Yusuke: You're really getting on my nerves! Yugi: There's gotta be some way to snap Sailor Mercury out of it. Infermon: (spitting out Spider Shooter) Forget about us? None of them had noticed that Infermon, with the help of Phantomon, had gotten back up. Infermon managed to trap Agunimon in his web, and now Phantomon was rising his scythe to go for the kill. Phantomon: Shadow... Out of nowhere, Trunks leaps in and shoulder tackles Phantomon out of the way. In an instant, he follows up with his special attack... the Kamehameha wave, deleting the Digimon. Meanwhile, Agunimon broke out of the restraining webs and turned his attention to Infermon. Agunimon: Time to take this to the next level! (raising his D-Tector into the air) Get ready for a beat down! Slide evolution! Agunimon slide evolved from his human spirit to his beast spirit, BurningGreymon! BurningGreymon: BurningGreymon! Everyone gasped in awe as Agunimon transformed into BurningGreymon, who was much more powerful, stronger, and a whole lot taller. Infermon: (amazed and frightened by the transformation) Huh? BurningGreymon: Pyro Barrage! The forearm armor plate on each arm turned around to face Infermon, as they changed into mini-flame machine guns. Infermon was pummelled quickly, and subsequently deleted. This time around though, instead of completely disappearing at once, Infermon changed into a ring of data. BurningGreymon: Alright then... fractal code, digitize! The fractal code, which consisted of the data from the area of the campsite that he had destroyed, was absorbed by the D-Tector. With the two Digimon defeated, BurningGreymon changed back into Takuya. Takuya: Now that they're out of the way... (points at Mercury) Let go of her this instant! Mercury/Marik: What makes you think that I'm going to listen to a mere boy? Trunks: (standing beside Takuya) That's because Takuya's no mere boy! And neither am I! Yusuke: You're surrounded. There's no way we're letting you out of here! Mercury/Marik: How are you going to stop me? Once I get Yugi's Millennium Puzzle, I'm taking the next Trailmon out of here! Yugi: Don't bet on getting your hands on the puzzle! I won't give it up without a fight! Mercury/Marik: That Millennium Puzzle will be mine! Yugi: But there's only one way to get it. And that's to beat me in a Duel Monsters match. And needless to say, you took over the wrong body. Your plot has failed, so why don't you just leave us all be? ====== Unfortunately, there was someone that Marik could use against Yugi. And that was Bandit Keith, who had brought along part of his dueling deck for the journey. Once he was at the campsite, Marik would use Keith to try and win the Puzzle away from Yugi. Problem is, he's unconscious on the forest floor as Whitney and Trowa stand above him. In addition, Keith has an ofuda on his forehead. Tenchi: You two better step back and let my grandfather finish the job. Whitney and Trowa did as they were told, and got out of the way, leaving room for Yosho, Tenchi's grandfather. Yosho: (putting his hands over Keith's forehead) Stay calm, young man. Everything will be alright. Whitney: I hope you don't mind me asking... but how are you going to help us? Tenchi: (answering for his grandpa) My grandfather's a priest, Whitney. He can ward off the bad spirits residing inside of a person. Trowa: But how did you know he was possessed by one? Tenchi: I had a suspicion, especially since Washu picked up a high frequency of spiritual waves since we got back an hour ago. Trowa: That explains why Yusuke ran out of the cabin so suddenly. I think he can somehow sense them. Whitney: You mean that Keith may not be the only one possessed? Tenchi: No... there's one other. Suddenly, Keith arose from his forced slumber, awakening to the sight of Yosho's old face. Keith: (crawling back) Ack! Who are you, old man? Tenchi: That's my grandfather, you know. Keith: What's he doing here? Yosho: I just freed you from the evil spirit that had taken over your body. Keith: (looking at his hands) You did? Trowa: Any idea who might have wanted to do this to you? Keith: I'm not sure... but it's happened to me once before. But I never found out who did it the first time, and I'm not sure about this time either. Yosho: (looking at Tenchi, then towards the campsite) We have more pressing issues to attend to. Whitney: The campsite! Let's go! ====== At the campsite, Marik, inside Sailor Mercury, was made aware of the fact that he had lost control of his other 'puppet,' Bandit Keith. Mercury/Marik: What is this? I've lost control of my other slave! Yusuke: What's he talking about, Yugi? What other slave? Yugi: (gasps, realizing the obvious) Of course! Bandit Keith! Yusuke: Keith? Yugi: Marik had taken control of him once before. In addition, he's the only other person besides me here who has a dueling deck. Yusuke: That makes sense. So that means we just have the Sailor Scout to deal with. Mercury/Marik: No matter... I can regain it just as easily. Marik concentrated, trying to regain control of Keith. But after a minute of silence as the camp members looked on, nothing happened. Mercury/Marik: How can this be... I can't get to him! Something's blocking me! ?????: That's the one. She's the one that's possessed. Everyone turned to look towards the forest exit. Tenchi, Whitney, Trowa, Keith, and Yosho were standing there, all glancing at Sailor Mercury. Takuya: Tenchi? Yusuke: Who's the old man? Yosho: I am Tenchi's grandfather, but we have no time for formalities. Mercury/Marik: (takes a step back) A Shinto priest? Where did he come from? Before anyone could react, Yosho leaped from his position over to Sailor Mercury, landing just two feet in front of her. Mercury/Marik: What? Yosho threw an ofuda at Sailor Mercury's head. She fainted instantly, to the surprise of everyone except the group that had accompanied her. Takuya: Sailor Mercury! Yugi: What... what have you done? ****** Most of the group was in shock to see Sailor Mercury lying on the ground, flat on her face and unconscious. Yosho: (looking at Whitney) Miss Whitney, a little assistance? Whitney: Oh, yes, of course! Whitney started to run over, but stopped short when she saw Trunks and Yusuke beat her there. Trunks blocked Whitney's path, while Yusuke grabbed Yosho by the collar and lifted him up. Yosho: Okay, old man... what did you do to her? Whitney: (shouting over Trunks) It's okay, Yusuke! He knows what he's doing. Tenchi: (stepping up to help) Let him go! He's helping her out! Suddenly, a bright light fills the air as Sailor Mercury changes back to Amy Mizuno, to the surprise of everyone there... except for Tenchi, Takuya, and all the Sailor Moon fans out there. Yusuke: (letting go of Yosho) Amy? She's Sailor Mercury? Takuya: (running over) Amy! Trunks dropped his guard and let Whitney and Takuya by, who helped Amy to her feet as she regained consciousness. Amy M.: What... what happened? Whitney: You wouldn't believe me if I told ya. Takuya: Everything'll be fine, Amy. It's all over. ====== A few minutes later, Amy M. and Keith are both lying down on the ground, resting after the stressful ordeal they had gone through. The rest of the Roomies that had stayed at the cabin were now at the camp to get a briefing with the others. Yosho is going around the camp, purifying all the Roomies and the entire campsite area. Yugi: I'm sorry, everyone. I guess it's my fault that Marik followed me here. Nabiki: A warning would've been nice. Amy R.: Yeah! I've never been that frightened in my whole life! Takuya: Do you know what danger you placed us in? Yugi: I'm sorry, Takuya. If I knew this was going to happen, I wouldn't have come. Tenchi: On the contrary, Yugi. We're at much as fault as you are. We should've prepared for this, and we didn't. By the time we realized it, we were too late. Amy R.: What's your grandfather doing, Tenchi? Rini: Getting rid of the demons... just like Raye would. Tenchi: My grandfather's purifying the landscape, both here and at the cabin. Hopefully this will keep this Marik character out and prevent him from taking control of anyone else while we're here. Takuya: And what if we need to leave the area for a challenge? Tenchi: Washu's working on that now. She hopes to have a spirit shield up and running by sunset. That'll prevent Marik or any evil spirits out. James: What about this hole? Takuya: (pointing his D-Tector at it) Leave that to me! Takuya presses a button on his D-Tector, releasing the fractal code that had been absorbed by Infermon. The code rematerializes over the hole, replacing it and making it seem as if the hole had never been made. Tenchi: You should all be safe now. We'll make sure of that. Just to be safe, though... we'll offer all of you a chance to leave. Nabiki: To leave? Tenchi: Yes. If any of you aren't confident in staying here because of what's been happening the past few days, we'll be glad to take you home. All of the Roomies looked at each other and thought about it, some more decisive than others. But eventually, they all came to the same decision. Jet: I think we can all agree that you can keep us safe to the best of our ability. All of us still feel that we can go after the grand prize, so we've all decided to stay! Amy R.: Yeah! It'll take more than some evil sorceror to scare us away! Tenchi: Are you all sure? Rally: We've never been more sure in our lives. Tenchi: Very well then... once my grandpa heads over to the cabin and takes care of things there, you guys can get back to your regular lives. Well, as regular as they should be here. Tally: (CC) At least now we can finally get back to the game! Yusuke: (CC) That Marik character is lucky he wasn't here in person. He might have saved himself from getting a taste of my Spirit Gun! Yugi: (CC) Rest assured, Marik... you'll never, NEVER get a hold of my Millennium Puzzle! As long as the spirit of the puzzle and I are one, you will never win! ====== Night Twenty After tiding up the place and finally getting a chance to relax and eat, the group at the campsite enjoys a peaceful night around the campfire. James: Finally! Rest and relaxation at last! Yugi: Until morning, that is. But at least we've finally gotten rid of Marik. Amy M.: Guys... I'm sorry for keeping... Trunks: Being Sailor Mercury a secret? Forget about it. Takuya: Yeah. Although it wasn't hard to figure you out... unlike me. Amy R.: (smiles) The blue hair was a dead give away, Amy! James: What? You mean you guys knew she was Sailor Mercury? Nabiki: Duh... it was so obvious! Takuya: Does anyone else have any secrets that we should know about it? You know, before we end up getting attacked again? Rini: Actually... I'm a Sailor Scout too, guys. Trunks: You are? Rini: Yeah. I'm Sailor Mini-Moon! Takuya: Sailor Mini-Moon? Amy M.: Rini's okay, guys. She's a good guy like me. You don't have to worry about it. Yugi: If we're divulging secrets... then I guess I should tell you more about my Millennium Puzzle. Amy M.: That would help. I think we need to understand why Marik wanted it so much. Yugi: Well, the Millennium Puzzle is one of seven ancient Egyptian items. They each have different powers. Mine belonged to an ancient phaorah from five thousand years ago, though I'm not sure of the true power of my Millennium Item. I just know that if it fell into the wrong hands, the world would be doomed! Nabiki: Sounds powerful. Amy R.: At least we won't have to worry about that Marik guy anymore. Yugi: Let's just hope so. ====== Day Twenty One Taking the opportunity to get some extra sleep, everyone at the campsite got up late the next morning. But they all have to get up sometime, and that happened when Yugi and Nabiki team up to make a late brunch of hot dogs. Yugi: (dumping a pack into the pot) Are you sure these are still good? Nabiki: As long as the meat's not rotting, it'll be fine. Trunks: (coming out of his tent, smelling the air) Are those hot dogs? Nabiki: Yep! How many do you want? Trunks: I guess I can start with half a dozen, if you can spare them. Yugi: (sweatdrops) Sure. Nabiki: Is that with or without ketchup? Meanwhile, Amy Rose comes out of her tent, only to find someone on the ground just outside. Amy R.: James! What are you... James is snoring peacefully on the ground as Amy Rose quietly fumes in front of him. Amy R.: (seething as she pulls out her mallet) How dare you! With a conk to the head from Amy's mallet, James is rudely awakened. Trunks: (winces) That looked like it hurt. James: (rubbing his head) What was that for, Jessie? Amy R.: Jessie? My name's Amy, James, and if you don't want another blow to the head, you'd better step away from my tent! James gets up and moves away as fast as he can. Takuya: Gee... she's almost as scary as Zoe! ====== Luckily, the group in the cabin is not immune from an incident of their own, despite getting a break from some action. Tally: Are you sure you guys want to watch this so soon? Jet: Nope. We can't really understand what Yugi told us yesterday until we see it for ourselves. Sure enough, Tally, Jet, Haruka, Keith, Rally, and Yusuke were watching 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' The only ones not there were Whitney and Trowa, who were outside doing laundry for the group. Rally: There's not anything objectional in this show, is there? Yusuke: Why? Not going to watch if there is! Rally: I never said I wouldn't. Tally: Regardless, I think we all need to see this. Jet: I'll go get Whitney and Trowa. Rally: (getting up) No, let me! Rally made her way to the door, but upon looking out, she saw Whitney and Trowa talking. She decided not to pry... at least not yet. But the others had already noted her hesitation. Yusuke: What's wrong now? Rally: The two of them seem to be talking. Jet: Talking? Keith: Why would they be talking? They have nothing in common! Tally: When you're trying to make alliances, that doesn't seem to matter much. Rally: (looking back out) Are you sure they're making an alliance? Yusuke: What else could it be? And considering Whitney's case... she needs it. Tally: That's not a nice thing to say, Yusuke! Yusuke: Well, she does! The only she can do good around here is be bossy! Rally: I say leave them alone. It's not like the two of them are much to worry about anyway. Rally walks back over to her seat and joins the others in their viewing session. Meanwhile, Whitney and Trowa continue to talk, but as for what, no one will know... at least for the moment. ****** Day Twenty-Two Nabiki was the first to rise the following morning as she came out of her tent. She immediately noticed that there was a piece of paper taped to the water tank. Nabiki: (reading it) Be at the challenge field at 10:30 a.m. for today's competition. It will be a physical-type challenge, though it will not require anything actually physical. She walked back over to the tents and started to wake everyone up. ====== The Roomies all arrive at the challenge field on time and find themselves greeted by a set resembling the game show 'Hollywood Squares.' Tenchi: Good morning! Everyone ready for today's challenge! Keith: (picking up on the game instantly) You're not seriously going to have us play Hollywood Squares, are you? Tenchi: We are playing a version of Hollywood Squares appropriately dubbed 'Tokyowood Squares.' As you can see behind me, there are nine squares. In each square will sit one person. The object of the game is to get tic-tac-toe horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The first team to win two games wins the challenge. Rally: How are we going to pull this off? There's way too many of us here! Tenchi: That will be explained in due time, Rally. First off... we need team captains. And for this mission, the captains are Yugi and Yusuke. Yugi: (pointing at himself) Me? Yusuke: You mean against him? Ha... this'll be easy! Once the teams are chosen, Tenchi has the teams split in half. Half will go to the squares, and the other half will go to the 'contestant' platforms facing the squares set. [Team Assignments: Team Blue (X) - Yugi, Tally, James, Rini, Trunks, Whitney, Takuya, and Keith Team Green (O) - Yusuke, Haruka, Jet, Amy M., Nabiki, Rally, Amy R., and Trowa] [The Squares: Top row: Takuya (Blue), Yusuke (Green), Nabiki (Green) Mid row: Rally (Green), ??????? (Cameo), Trunks (Blue) Bot row: Rini (Blue), Whitney (Blue), Trowa (Green)] [The 'Contestants': Team Blue (X) - Yugi, James, Keith, and Tally Team Green (O) - Amy M., Jet, Amy R., and Haruka] ====== With the teams now set up in the proper places, there is only one problem. There is nobody in the center square. Tenchi: To play Tokyowood Squares, we need someone to play center square. And occupying center square is our cameo for this episode, Chronus! Chronus(?): As much as I want to be the god of time, it's Chromus! Tenchi: (sweatdrops) Oh great, the psychopath... Chromus: Oh no, I'm a perfect gentleman today! I have to be... got to set a good example for the girls here. Of course in Nabiki's case, there is an exception... Nabiki: (shaking her fist from her square) Hey! Tenchi: Alright Nabiki, calm down! I need to explain the full rules of the game for those of you who don't know them. Nabiki: Fine. Tenchi: Each of the teams is designated a letter. The blue team, or Yugi's team, won the coin toss and decided to take X. By default, the green team, led by Yusuke, will take O. To win a square, I will ask the panelist in that square a question. He or she will give an answer, and then whomever's turn it is must decide if they agree or disagree with the answer. If you are right, you get the square. For example... Takuya! Takuya: Yes? Tenchi: What is the square root of 64? Takuya: (scratches his head) How am I supposed to know? Um... 7? Tenchi: Okay. If I'm X and say that I disagree with that answer, I would be right because the correct answer is 8. So, X would get the square. Takuya: How came you gave me a hard question? That's not fair! Tenchi: (ignoring Takuya) But if I said I'd agree, that would be wrong, and O would get the square. Does everyone have it? James: Have what? Takuya: (holding his head) Why do you always give me the hard ones? Tenchi: Oy vey... let's just get started, shall we? ====== [Physical Challenge 4: Tokyowood Squares] Tenchi: Yugi, since your team won the toss, you will be going first. Please pick a square. Yugi: Okay... let's see. How about we start in the middle with Chromus? Tenchi: Chromus it is. (pulling out the first question card) Before I begin, I should note that all of the questions that will be asked in the challenge will have answers based on the twelve participating anime series this season. In other words, if you've taken advantage of the DVDs in the cabin and have watched them, you should be okay. Rally: (rolls her eyes) Oh boy. Tenchi: Chromus, in 'Cowboy Bebop,' Faye Valentine received life-threatening injuries in a car crash. To save her life, doctors had her body cryogenically frozen. How long was she frozen before finally being awakened by doctors? Chromus: Ah, Cowboy Bebop... fortunately it’s just come into the UK. (thinks) I think the exact date is 52 years, but to be approximate I’ll say it was 50 years... yeah, 50 years... Tenchi: Yugi, do you agree or disagree with his answer? Yugi: Let's see now... I'll trust him and say that I agree. Tenchi: Approximately 50 years is the answer. X gets the square! Chromus: Score! Oh for the record, Jet, you rock! Jet: Uh... thanks, I think. In lieu of an actual electronic scoring system, Chromus pulls out a six-inch high X and puts it on the desk in front of him. Tenchi: Amy, to you now. Which square? Amy M.: I think I'll start with Rally. Tenchi: Rally, out of the twelve anime series represented this year, which one was the most recent to finish in Japan? Rally: Let's see... I'm going to say Yu-Gi-Oh. Amy M.: I agree. Tenchi: Love Hina, 2001. X gets the square! Amy was shocked that she got hers wrong, and now the Blue Team is in position to win the first game as Rally puts an X on her desk. Tenchi: James? James: Trunks for the win! Tenchi: Alright Trunks, you can help your team win Game One! In 'Ranma 1/2,' which character is cursed by the Spring-of-Drowned-Duck? Is it Genma, Shampoo, or Mousse? Trunks: I'm sure I remember this one... it's Shampoo. It's gotta be. James: I... I disagree! Tenchi: Mousse is the cursed one... X gets the square and Game One! Trunks celebrates as he puts an X on his desk, giving his team a tic-tac-toe. [Current Score: Team Blue 1, Team Green 0] The boards are cleared for the next game as Jet steps up to take his turn. Tenchi: Green team will start Game Two, and we'll go to the next player in order. Jet? Jet: Chromus, the center square. Tenchi: Something was done in the anime 'Ranma 1/2' that wasn't done in the manga so that viewers could easily distinguish the female Ranma from the male Ranma. What was it? Chromus: The pressures of centre square... Ranma ˝ huh? Not a problem... aside from the obvious, the main change was that Ranma-chan’s hair in the anime became a distinguished red rather than the black and white in the manga. Jet: I agree. Tenchi: Think Chromus knows his Ranma? Well, he does... O gets the square! (to Keith) Who's your pick, Bandit Keith? Keith: (smiles) Let's try out Whitney. Whitney: (sarcastically) Very funny, wise guy. You're just lucky I'm on your team. Tenchi: Whitney, in 'Digimon Frontier' there are ten different spirit beasts. Name two of the ten. Whitney: Two of the ten? Hmmmm... if the types are anything like Pokémon types, then I'll go with fire and water. Tenchi: Keith? Keith: What? Of course I'm going to agree with her! Tenchi: Good thing, because she's right! X gets the square! The other eight, by the way, are light, ice, wind, thunder, earth, wood, steel, and darkness. ====== [Challenge Fast Forward - Game Two] Amy Rose chooses Takuya's square in the upper left. He was asked how many matches did Joey Wheeler (Yu-Gi-Oh!) win before competing in the Duelist Kingdom tournament finals? Takuya answered ten, and Amy agreed. But it was the wrong answer... the correct answer is four. Tally goes after Rally, as the Gunsmith Cat is asked a question about 'Yu Yu Hakusho.' She is asked to name the school that Yusuke attends. Rally genuinely doesn't know and guesses Crossroads Jr. High. Tally picks up on the guess and correctly disagrees, winning X the square. Yusuke goes to Sarayashiki Jr. High. Haruka goes for the block, picking Rini. Rini is asked to name the ability that Sonic the Hedgehog has that no other hedgehog, real or fictional has. She says that Sonic has the ability to run really fast. Haruka correctly agrees. The tables have turned, and now Yugi must go for a block to save the game. He's forced to have Nabiki answer a question for them. The question: Although never seen actually participating in her said profession, which Sailor Scout is a Formula One driver? Nabiki says Mina (Venus), but Yugi catches the bluff and disagrees. He's right... the correct answer is Amara (Uranus). The block eliminates any chance of O winning the game, so to stay alive they must force a tie. And thus, Amy M. selects Yusuke to block Team X. Yusuke is asked a question... and that's where we'll pick things up... [End Challenge Fast Forward] ====== Tenchi: Yusuke, in 'Love Hina,' character Mutsumi Otohime resides where? Yusuke: In Japan, of course! Oh... you meant what city? It's Okinawa. Tenchi: Amy? Amy M.: I'll... agree. Tenchi: Okinawa... O gets the square and the block! James? James: Trunks! Tenchi: Trunks, lead character Ash Ketchum of 'Pokémon' has had Pikachu since the beginning of his career as a trainer. Which Pokémon has Ash had the second longest, counting all Pokémon he's ever had? Trunks: Pokémon? I don't think I watched much of that. Um... I'll say that bird he has. I think it's called a Noctowl. James: Disagree! Dis-a-gree! Tenchi: James emphatically disagrees. And the answer is... Bulbasaur. He was right to disagree... X gets the square! Jet? Jet: Trowa to block. Tenchi: Get this square Jet, and that ties this game. It will be the only way to force a third game. Trowa, in 'Dragonball Z,' which two androids are considered to be siblings? Trowa: I'm sure if he were here, he'd give this game five stars. The creator of the androids, that is. Anyway, I've got to say 16 and 17. Jet: I agree. Tenchi: 17 and 18... no! X, you can only win the game by getting that third square by yourself. That means that Keith, you must take your turn. Keith: Trowa's the only one left, so it's gotta be him. Tenchi: Keith, if you get this right, your team wins the game and the challenge. If you don't, the game is a draw and we'll go to a third and deciding game. Tenchi looks at Trowa and asks him the question. Tenchi: Trowa, the series 'Gunsmith Cats' takes place in what American city? Trowa: New York City. Tenchi: Keith... for the game, do you agree or disagree? Keith: (smiling) I disagree. Tenchi: Chicago... X gets the square, the game, and the challenge! [Final Score: Team Blue 2, Team Green 0] Yugi's team begins to celebrate lively, while Yusuke's team can only hang their heads in shame... or shoot glares of frustration at each other. ====== With all sixteen Roomies now on ground level, Tenchi and Chromus confirm the challenge's final result. Chromus: You all played great in today's challenge. Tenchi: There can be only one winner, though. By a score of two games to none, the winners are the Blue Team! Congratulations Yugi and company... everyone on your team adds $100,000 to each of your personal jackpots and earns lodging in the cabin until the next challenge. Chromus: As for everyone on Yusuke's team, you'll be sent to live at camp. Tenchi: Good job to all of you today, and I'll see you all next time. The cast splits up, and those who are to switch living quarters prepare to do so... some happily, some not. ========================= End Episode Ten ========================= Tenchi: (VO) Coming up on the next episode of Roomies... Gatomon: Miss us? Guilmon: I missed you! Tenchi: (VO) The Digimon are back, and thus training resumes... Jet: (scratches his head) I thought he'd be better than this. Rally: It would help if you were training him along with the rest of us. Trunks: Yeah! That's the firepower we need! Tenchi: (VO) Meanwhile, the wheels of the 'Adult Alliance' turn again... Keith: You've got to trust me on this. We can win this! Haruka: (CC) The consensus is that we have to stop him. Problem is, I don't think we can. Tenchi: (VO) As well as those on other alliances... Trowa: It's just not meant to be. Amy R.: (CC) I never knew this game could be so cut-throat. Trunks: (shaking hands with someone) Welcome to the team! Tenchi: (VO) But trust is really put to the test during the next challenge... Yusuke: Look at them running around like their heads have been cut off! James is seen running away at the speed of light... to avoid getting hit! Whitney: I'm the captain and you have to listen to me! Takuya: Nobody wished you were! Tenchi: (VO) And that leads to an unexpected confrontation... The sounds of different objects hitting the ground can be heard as a cameraman races to the scene. Rini: (holding back tears) Why is this happening? Why now? Trunks: I can't believe I wasn't there to see it! Tenchi: (VO) The backstabbing begins in earnest on the next Roomies! Nabiki: (kicking something aside) I just hate this game! ==================== Additional Author's Notes ==================== Not much to talk about, as everything is self-explanatory if you see all the shows participating this season. One small note, though... Also, thanks to Chromus for lending answers to this episode's challenge. It's the fourth of five author cameos... which means there's only one left! Now, I need to talk about the 'Final Four' voting. Everyone knows that now that the series is back on a weekly schedule (sort of), voting has resumed. Here's a quick reminder of the rules: 1) You can vote once every other week. What this basically means is that if you voted between the last episode and now, for example, you cannot vote again until after the next episode is posted. If you voted between this episode and the next, then you cannot vote between the next episode and the one after that. 2) You can vote as many times as you want. You don't have to send in just one ballot. You can send in a new ballot every two weeks. 3) Please rank your choices in order from one to four. I am using a point system to determine where the most consideration towards the Final Four should be given. 4) Only votes sent to me through e-mail will count. IM votes are also accepted, but only if I'm online and on IM at the time... meaning that you must be talking to me to submit a vote. If a vote comes from anywhere else, and that includes FF.net reviews (which one person did last week), I will not count it as a vote. 5) I will stop taking votes once a certain episode is posted. At that time, no new votes will be accepted and I will decided who will make the Final Four this season. The exact episode has been determined, but I will withhold that data until the episode before it has been posted. Remember that although your votes decide who is in the Final Four, I have the right to change any selected member if I deem him or her not worthy of the right. I also choose the winner myself. If you haven't voted, please vote! I know there are more of you out there who still read this, despite the delays that this series seems to have every single year for some reason. There were a lot of you that did last season's poll, and that means that there should be more ballots being submitted than I have. Speaking of which... look out for a poll sometime before the end of the season! ========================= Next Episode ========================= Episode 11 is coming on Tuesday! See ya then!
