Izzy: It looks like Tai’s been trying to reach Whitney for the past few days. But my question is how do the two of them know each other in the first place? It’s strange. I guess I’m going to have to conduct an investigation of my own. Oak: (VO) Deja vu? Tai and Whitney, the Goldenrod gym leader? Really... Izzy: (CC) Tai, I don’t know what you’re doing, but I’m on to you. I have no idea what you see with this Whitney chick, but I’m going to find out. Oak: (VO) Meanwhile, the boys aren’t too happy about another challenge... Gary: A talent show? Of all the stupid... Oak: (VO) But they accept and manage to make their way to the stage... Brock and Gary: (together) Introducing the ‘Spiky Brothers Dating Service!’ Gary: We guarantee that a guy will get hooked up with a girl and a girl will get hooked up with a guy! Brock: And guys, if you get a girl that you don’t like, just call me. I’ll take her! Oak: (VO) Some good, some bad... Tracey didn’t do too well either: the crowd was not interested in him drawing Pokémon or pretty girls, despite the fact that he drew both really well. Oak: (VO) But when all was said and done... Lance: That makes the final score 55 - 52, with the blue team winning the competition! Oak: (VO) With victory though, comes a downside... As the paramedics taped up Davis’s right ankle and placed him on a stretcher, both teams, the judges’ panel, and the crowd watches anxiously. Davis, although still in pain, gives everyone a thumbs up as the paramedics carry him away. Oak: (VO) But when it’s time to visit him, some of the boys get more than they wanted... Joy: Look, if you want to know, he called me because he wanted someone who could reassure him that he would be okay. (glaring at Tai) No romantic implications at all! Tai: Okay, I get the message! Oak: (VO) What will happen next? Stay tuned... * * * * * * * * * * Sixteen young guys Four different anime shows Forty-two days living alone in a mansion One lucky soul walks away with up to one million dollars in cash (Begin theme song, showing each of the contestants, two at a time via split screen) Ash, walking away from the racetrack after being yelled at by his teammates Brock, flirting with Nurse Joy at the Viridian City Pokémon Center Cody, trying to figure out how to use a Pokéball Davis, tackling TK in the hedge maze prize challenge Gary, convincing Mrs. Ketchum to buy some foot warmers from him Izzy, thinking about how his team lost the first physical challenge Joe, getting settled in his room just after arriving at that mansion Ken, discussing with Tai his theory about Nurse Joy Li, using his sword to slice down the first door Matt, yelling at Tracey after discovering that he was eating all the candy samples Richie, recalling his days at the Pokémon League Tai, leading the boys through the Digiworld Tenchi, talking with Ken about being a bachelor TK, forming a truce with Davis after Kari had yelled at them Tori, drinking a cup of cocoa as Ash and TK run towards him Tracey, assuring his team that he’d even the score in the go-kart physical challenge Some of these guys will become the best of friends Others will develop grudges against those they hate But only one will walk out with up to a million dollars in cash and prizes These boys are... roomies! Day Thirty It’s the morning after the talent show. Things seem to be back to normal, with a few exceptions. For example, Davis is still at the Viridian City General Hospital, getting treatment for his ankle. Tai has disappeared to who knows where. And in the living room, Tracey is still sulking after what had happened to him on stage. Cody, amazingly, is the one that is trying console him. Tracey: I totally choked on stage. I couldn’t believe it myself. Cody: You did your best. Besides, when have you ever drawn a Pokémon in the presence of that many people? Tracey: Never. Cody: Exactly. There’s no way to prepare for those types of situations. Tracey: You guys seemed to be fine... until the accident. Cody: Yeah. I really thought that we were wowing the audience. But then Davis tripped and everything changed. When we had to finish the song without him, it just saddened me. I don’t think any of our hearts were in it any more. We were worried about Davis. Tracey: I see. Cody: Uh huh. The duo remains quiet, staring at each other for a few minutes. Cody then remembers something. Cody: I wonder whatever happened to that alliance we were planning... Tracey: What alliance? Cody: (realizing that he had talked out loud) Oh, nothing. Tracey: (pleading on his knees) Please, Cody! I could really use some help if I’m going to win it all. I really don’t think anyone’s going to vote for me! Cody: I assure you, I’d like to help, but this is an all-Digidestined alliance. Tracey: (getting up and crossing his arms over his chest) So I see. Eight Digidestined equals half the house. If you all decide to vote for one guy, he is practically assured to win. Cody: Oh, it’s not between all of us. Just the Season 2 Digidestined. Tracey: Huh? Clarify on that, please. Cody: Well, you see, we were tired of being looked at by the Season 1 ‘destined as little kids. So before we all got up here, we were planning an all-out war between the old and the new Digidestined. Tracey: We’ve been here a month now. What happened to that plan? Cody: I think we forgot about it up until this point. But now, with less than two weeks left, we’ve got to do something to tip the tables in our favor. Tracey: You believe they’re beating you? Cody: I have a hunch that they are. We’d never forgive ourselves if a Season 1 Digidestined wins it all. Tracey absorbs this and keeps it in mind as Cody switches subjects and begins to talk about normal things unrelated to the game. Meanwhile, Tracey and Cody aren’t the only ones planning strategy... Tenchi: (CC) We have to make a good impression. We’ve only got twelve more days to go. I’ve got to figure out what will boost my rating. Tori: This is getting kinda boring. We need a chance to do some legal sabotage or something. Izzy: I wouldn’t exactly call sabotage legal. Tori: We’ve gotta do something. We’re not exactly the favorites. Izzy: True, but being one is no big deal. All it does is place a target on them so that all of the others can attack them and find ways to level the playing field. Night Thirty At about nine thirty that night, the gang gets a pleasant surprise when Davis appears. He has some crutches in hand and a new temporary cast on his injured right ankle. Tai: So, are you okay, Davis? Davis: I’m fine guys, really! The doc says that I should keep off of my right foot so that the swelling in my ankle goes down. He said to ice it every four to six hours for the next twelve hours. That’s why I have the crutches. They’ll support me until my ankle’s back to normal again. Ash: Will you be able to compete in any more challenges? Davis: The professor said he will evaluate me on a challenge-by-challenge basis. Richie: I guess we’d better get him up to his room. Day Thirty One The following morning, Tori was coming back from his morning walk when he saw the mailman putting something in their mailbox. He waves hello to him as he goes by. Tori opens the mailbox and pulls out two D-3s, which belong to Cody and Ken. That, of course, is accompanied by the obligatory envelope describing the upcoming challenge. Tori takes the stuff inside and shows it to the others. Cody and Ken take their D-3s as they all head off to the recreation room. As usual, someone puts the videotape into the VCR and it starts playing immediately. Oak: Good morning, gentleman. Today, we’re making a return trip to the Digiworld. And to celebrate, we’ve got some special help assisting you. But you’ll have to get here first to find out who. Yes, I’m dodging the subject, but today you’ll have to dodge something more important. See you there. With that, the tape ends. Tori opens the letter and reads it aloud. Tori: Use the D-3s to gain access to the Digiworld, making sure they are set to send you to the beach near Digitamamon’s restaurant. Once there, you will be randomly split into two teams and then set off to begin today’s prize challenge. Further instructions will be given when you get there. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes! Cody and Ken set their D-3s as told. The group then splits in two: half go with Cody to one computer, while the other half goes with Ken to another computer. The two aim their D-3s at their respective computers. Cody and Ken: (simultaneously) Digi-port open! The portals open and both groups are sucked into the computers. Moments later, they land in the Digital World, near Digitamamon’s restaurant, as expected. Professor Oak is waiting for them, with four sets of different colored wristbands: red, blue, yellow, and green. Oak: Gentleman, today’s challenge starts by all of you picking a different wristband. Please pick only one each and don’t pick someone else’s for them. The boys go over and do as they are told. After a minute or so, each of them is now wearing a wristband. Oak: (motioning to Cody and Ken) I’ll hold your D-3s for the time being, boys. Cody and Ken hand the professor their D-3s. Oak: Now, we’re going to choose teams and the positions each player on the team will have. First, the teams. Some of you may notice that your wristband has some type of sticker on the inside. Once you find your sticker, find the other three people that have that matching sticker. Four bands have a star, four have a rainbow, four have a smiley face, and four have no sticker at all. [The team assignments (picked in random order): Star - Tori, Ash, Joe, and Tai Rainbow - Tracey, Ken, Tenchi, and Davis Smiley Face - TK, Brock, Matt, and Cody Nothing - Gary, Izzy, Richie, and Li] Oak: Now that teams have been assigned, each person on the team has a different role. But first, let me tell you what game you are going to play. Today’s activity involves a familiar game with a twist... Roomies style dodgeball. Ash: Dodgeball? Seriously? Cody: (happily) Alright! Li: You have got to be kidding. Oak: Now, which role you have in this game depends on what color wristband you have. Those of you who have a red wristband are the leaders. Leaders have special immunity. That means that unlike everyone else, who is out if they are hit or throw a ball that is caught by someone, the leaders get two lives. They must be hit twice before they are out. The camera points at Tori, Tracey, TK, and Gary, who are happy about their assignments. Oak: Those of you who have blue wristbands play the roles of medics. If one of their teammates is hit, they may ‘heal’ them and get them back into the game. They can do this twice in the game. Of course, they may not heal themselves if they get hit. Ash, Ken, Brock, and Izzy think about their roles and accept them without argument. Oak: Those of you with yellow wristbands play the sneaky role of traitors. Not only can you hit other people, you are the only ones allowed to eliminate your own teammates, should you so desire. Joe, Tenchi, Matt, and Richie smirk as they begin plotting against who they don’t like. Oak: Finally, those of you wearing green wristbands are, unfortunately, the weaklings. These players can’t even touch the ball. Any contact with the ball results in that person in being out. I hope you guys remember that. Tai, Davis, Cody, and Li look around carefully, seeing if anyone’s sizing them up as potential victims for the battle. Oak: Last but not least, I mustn’t leave out our special guests. These two are serving as executioners. They cannot be taken out of the game, but they can eliminate anyone they see fit. Let’s meet them, shall we? Professor Oak points to the restaurant behind them. Out of the double doors comes two teenagers. One is a light brown haired girl wearing a light brown vest over a knee-length lavender dress. The other is a blond haired boy wearing a green short sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The Digidestined recognize them instantly. Davis and Cody: (at the same time) It’s Michael! Tai and TK: (also at the same time, with hearts in their eyes) And Catherine! The others gawk in amazement as the Digidestined go over and welcome Michael and Catherine back to the Digiworld. * * * * * * * * * * Tai: Hello Catherine! Long time no see! Catherine: It is so nice to see you again! TK: So, how are things in Paris? Catherine: The city, she is belle, as usual. Tai: (unsure of what Catherine just said) Sure. Whatever you say, Catherine. Davis: Man, long time no see! How have you been, Michael? Michael: Just fine. You guys? Cody: Just awesome! So, you two helping out today? Michael: You might say that. But I’m not going easy on you, you know. Oak: Enough with the reunion already! It’s time to begin the game. (coughs) Now, somewhere on these grounds are four regulation size dodgeballs. Of course, I’m not divulging their locations. You’ll have to find them before you can use them. The game ends when the hour time limit expires, or we are reduced to only one team. Anyone left standing at the end of the game earns a chance to win today’s prize... a Nokia 8860 wireless cell phone. Okay? The sixteen boys, Michael, and Catherine gather at the starting line. Professor Oak prepares to send them on their way. Oak: Ready? Set? Go! The eighteen individuals scramble all over the playing field, in search of the four dodgeballs. The smiley face team is the only that stays together, as the foursome try to locate one of the dodgeballs. Eventually, they find one right by the beach. TK picks it up and runs away with it. Brock, Matt, and Cody follow him. Meanwhile, Ash, Joe, Ken, Gary, Richie, and Michael all run off in the same direction. They all begin searching for a dodgeball in their area. Oddly enough, Ash literally stumbles upon it. Gary had been following him, so Ash instinctively throws the ball at him. Joe: Ha! You’re out, Gary! (Gary runs over to the get the ball) Hey! I said you’re out! Gary picks up the ball and throws it up into the air a few times. Gary: Don’t you remember, Joe? I’m a leader... I can take two hits! Joe: Uh oh... Joe attempts to make a break for it, but Gary has good aim. He hits Joe in the back. Joe hands over his wristband and then walks back to homebase as Gary gets the ball and starts looking around for another victim. He sees Ken not too far away. Ken spots him and takes off running, with Gary giving chase. Meanwhile, in another area, Catherine has already found the third ball and is holding it tightly to her chest. Catherine: There’s gotta be someone around here I can throw this at. Unknown to Catherine, Tai is attempting to sneak past in the bushes nearby. He is making way too much noise, though, and Catherine notices it. Catherine: (raising the ball over her head) Whomever’s in there, come out of there now! Tai: You can’t force me to, Catherine! Catherine: (surprised at hearing Tai’s voice) Tai? Is that you? Tai took this brief opportunity to make a run for it. He jumps out of the bushes and runs away from Catherine. She throws the ball right at Tai, but her throw is short, as he expected. Tai pumps his fist in the air as he disappears from sight, leaving a frustrated Catherine to kick some of the grass around her. [Time remaining: 53:20 and counting...] Although their search for someone of the opposing team has come up empty so far, they had managed to find the fourth and final dodgeball, meaning that they had two in their possession. TK was holding one and Brock was holding the other. Finally, their search comes to an end, as they see Tracey and Izzy on the run from Gary, who had a ball in hand himself. The foursome decides to team up on these three runaways. TK: You hit Izzy and I’ll knock out Tracey. Deal? Brock: Deal! Let’s do it! TK aims and hits Tracey in the stomach. Tracey had not been looking ahead, where the ball had come from, and thus he had the wind knocked out of him. Izzy, remembering that Tracey was a team leader, goes for the ball to knock Tracey out, but he is then hit at that exact moment by another ball in the side of the head; the one thrown by Brock. To make matters even worse for Tracey, Gary hits him in the back of his left leg. Tracey goes down, trying to rub the soreness out of his leg. Izzy was attempting to remember who he was. It seemed that the hit had given him temporary memory loss. Both Izzy and Tracey remember consciously enough, strangely, to remove their wristbands. Tracey: (CC) Now, that was pretty low! The first hit was as fair as possible, but Gary didn’t have to go and tag me in the leg so hard! Gary, realizing he had three balls to work with, throws one at Cody, who was standing in plain sight. Cody catches the ball, but then remembers that he is not allowed to do so. He smacks himself up the forehead before relinquishing the ball to his teammate, Matt. Cody then throws his wristband on the ground and then ducks out of the way. Matt: Do you want me to revive you, Cody? Cody: If you do that, Gary’ll get you! Forget about me! Gary grabs the remaining two balls and runs towards TK, Brock, and Matt. Gary lobs one at Matt, missing him. TK and Brock go chasing after it, and Matt follows them. Gary gives chase, still with one dodgeball in his possession. In a matter of seconds, TK, Brock, and Matt manage to find a good hiding spot. They wait for Gary to get close before they pelt him with their dodgeballs. TK throws the first one, with Matt throwing his shortly thereafter. Gary dodges the first, but jumps right into the path of the second. The ball hits him in the side, as he feels it sting his skin. It also causes him to release his grip on the ball that he had. Gary dejectedly throws his wristband towards the ground. TK, Brock, and Matt celebrate. TK and Matt get the balls they threw. Brock walks over to claim the one that Gary had. All of a sudden, Matt throws his ball at Brock, hitting him in the side of his pelvis area. Brock couldn’t believe it! TK and Matt had double-crossed him! The two brothers run off, each carrying a ball, as Brock slams his wristband on the ground. Gary: I knew those Digimon punks couldn’t be trusted. Brock: I hear you. TK: (CC) I have a split stance on Matt eliminating our own teammate. Sure, that just leaves us two brothers, who have the best chance of winning because of how well we know each other. But Matt eliminated our medic! And if I get hit once, he can easily get rid of me from that point on! Matt: (CC) I had to do it. This would go much easier if it were just TK and me. Elsewhere, Catherine is still walking around with her ball. All of a sudden, Li jumps down from a tree and scares the living daylights out of Catherine. She throws the ball high into the air before running off scared. Li whistles for Richie to come out of hiding place and get the ball, since he isn’t allowed to touch it. Li: Remember, only go for the ball if you’re going to catch it. You’ll be out if you catch and then drop it! Richie: (focusing his attention on the ball) I know. Richie prepares to catch the ball as it begins its descent. At the last moment, though, the ball picks up speed. It’s going too fast for Richie, who has no choice but to dive out of the way and avoid the ball at all costs. The ball hits the ground, missing Richie’s right foot by mere inches! Richie sighs in relief as the ball bounces a few more times before it stays on the ground and rolls slowly. Richie picks the ball up. Li: Good eye. I’m impressed. Richie: Thanks. All of a sudden, the duo spots Davis limping along by himself. Li sighs at his predicament. Li: Go get him, but just tag him lightly. I don’t want Davis injuring himself further because we were playing the game. Richie runs down the hill and over to Davis. Davis immediately spots him and comes to a stop. Davis: (sighs) I know when I’m beat. Go ahead and cream me. Davis closes his eyes in fear as Richie walks over and taps the ball against his nose. Davis opens his eyes back up in surprise. Richie: Li said that we shouldn’t try to hurt you any more than you already are. (winks) You get better, okay? Davis takes off his wristband and puts it in his pocket. Davis: Thanks, Richie. Tell Li I said thanks too! Davis then limps back to home base, as Li walks down to where Richie is standing. Richie: Davis said... Li: I heard what he said. Let’s just move on before I start feeling sappy for the guy. Li walks off in the opposite direction, with Richie following him. [Time remaining: 40:59 and counting...] Michael and Catherine, the two executioners, are walking around the field together. Neither of them has a dodgeball in their position, which for them, is not good. Catherine: And then, boom! The kid in the green outfit jumps out and scares me! Michael: That’s how he got the ball, huh? You’re faring zero for two so far. Catherine: I haven’t seen you peg anyone, mon ami! Suddenly, they spot Gary and Brock sulking after they had been eliminated. There was a dodgeball positioned between the two of them, but the two executioners noticed that neither guy was wearing a wristband. Michael: What happened to you two? Gary and Brock: (together) Matt! Catherine: I see. Oh well, c’est la vie! It is, how you say, magnifique! Michael: Isn’t she the greatest? Michael takes the ball and the duo runs off. Gary and Brock look at each other because they know absolutely no French, and even if they did, they probably wouldn’t understand what Catherine said or what was going on inside her mind. * * * * * * * * * * [Time remaining: 25:00 and counting...] Michael and Catherine are now walking along the beach when they see Tai just ahead of them, with his back turned towards them. Catherine: There’s Tai! (grabbing the ball from Michael) I won’t miss this time! Catherine runs towards Tai, but he spots her coming. He takes off running, defenseless once again. Catherine throws the ball, this time harder and straighter than her first attempt. But Tai manages to dodge this one as well. Tai looks back and gives Catherine a raspberry as he disappears from sight. Catherine, frustrated once again, kicks the sand underneath her shoes into the water. Michael comes running up to her. Michael: Won’t miss this time, huh? Catherine: Baka! Tu n’as comprende pas! Catherine stomps off as she retrieves the ball and looks for someone else to go after. Michael: I didn’t know baka was French. I thought it was Japanese. Wait... did she just call me stupid? (running after Catherine) Catherine, did you just call me stupid? Back at the start/finish line, Professor Oak yawns as he sits on his lawn chair, waiting for the challenge to end. All of a sudden, Ken and Tenchi come running out of the woods and past Professor Oak. They pass by so closely that they generate a bit of wind, as the professor’s chair begins to tip. But, he manages to save himself. Oak: Whew! That was a close one! At that exact moment, TK and Matt come running out of that same patch of woods, each still holding a dodgeball. As they go by, they both accidentally clip the professor’s chair, tipping it over and causing Professor Oak to fall onto the ground. TK and Matt: (yelling simultaneously as they continue running) Sorry, Professor Oak! In another part of the woods, Tori, the other remaining team captain, has been sitting quietly in a tree the whole time. Tori: I haven’t seen a guy run by here with a dodgeball yet. This is too easy. [Time remaining: 9:45 and counting...] Catherine and Michael are hiding behind some bushes, waiting for someone to run by so they can get the drop on them. Strangely enough, it happens to be Tai once again. Michael: (whispering) Are you actually going to hit him this time? Catherine: (whispering back angrily) Yes! Now be quiet! I’m concentrating! Tai: (walking past the hiding spot) Man, this is too much! Everywhere I turn, someone’s holding one of those dodgeballs! And I have to be one of those people who can’t even hold one! This sucks! (sighs) This can’t get any worse! Catherine jumps out of the bushes and throws the ball at Tai. It bops him on the forehead, where his goggles used to be. They probably would’ve softened the blow if he still had them, but Tai was more concerned about the slight pain on his forehead. Catherine: (jumping up and down) I finally got you! Tai: (rubbing his head) Okay, you got me. (takes off his wristband) Now, will you stop bothering me? Michael comes out of the bushes as Catherine walks over to Tai to check out his bump. Catherine: I didn’t hit you that hard, did I? Tai: Yes, you did Catherine. Catherine: Oh! (kneeling down to massage the spot on his forehead) I apologize. Tai: I’ll be okay. I’m so hardheaded that things like these just bounce right off! Catherine: (smiles) Just like the ball did! Tai and Catherine break out in laughter. Michael sweatdrops as he grabs the ball and starts walking off down the path. Michael: You coming, Catherine? Catherine: I’m coming! (to Tai) See you later. Tai: Yeah, I guess so. The two stare at each other silently for a minute or so before the silence is broken by Michael once again. Michael: Can you guys flirt later? We’ve still got eight minutes left in this game! Catherine: Oh! (runs off after Michael as she waves goodbye to Tai) Au revoir! Tai: (confused) Huh? Catherine: Bye! Tai: Oh... well, oh riviera! Catherine giggles as she and Michael disappear from sight. Tai decides to walk towards base since the game is almost over. On the way there, though, he spots Richie running towards him in one direction. He then spots Ash coming from the other. Neither of them has a ball in hand. Eventually, he watches as Ash and Richie run into each other. Both bodies go down to the ground. Tai runs over to see if they are okay. Tai: Nice crash, you two! Are you okay! Ash: You tripped me! Richie: I did not trip you! Li: (appearing out of nowhere) You two are pathetic! (to Richie) I can’t believe you gave up the ball that easily! Richie: Hey! I was trying to save your hide and mine! Lucky for us that TK and Matt were more focused on eliminating Ken and Tenchi than us! Li: By the way, Ken and Tenchi are out. Ash: Hey Tai? Why aren’t you wearing your wristband? Tai: (pointing to the red spot on my forehead) Catherine tagged me on the head. Li: You got hit by a girl? Tai: Hey! It took her three tries to do so! If you should be calling anyone pathetic, it should be her! Ash: Let me revive you. Ash pulls a small sticker he had been given out of his pocket. He sticks it on Tai’s wristband. Tai puts it back on. Tai: (pumps his fist in the air) Yes! I’m back in the game! Now, where’s Catherine? I want to see the look on her face when she sees I’m alive again! Tori suddenly jumps in out of nowhere, with a ball in hand. He hits Ash in the leg, then disappears from sight once again. Ash: (takes off his wristband) Looks like I’m out. Li: (yelling after Tori) Come back here and fight like a man! You coward! Richie takes the ball and throws it at Tai. Tai dodges it and runs off. Li: Pathetic. Another coward. Richie gets the ball, throws it at Li and hits him in the nose. Richie: You’re out! Li: (sarcastically) Thanks a lot. Richie: (CC) Li’s probably going to kill me for that one, but I had to do it! Richie then runs off after Tai with the ball in hand. Li takes off his wristband and starts walking back to base. [Time remaining: 1:04 and counting...] Down to the last minute, with five players still left in the game. Matt and TK were each still in possession of a dodgeball. Richie is in possession of the third, still trying to find Tai. Michael and Catherine have the fourth, but are nowhere near the other players. Tori also is nowhere to be found. The final seconds tick away as Tai runs by where Matt and TK are. Matt and TK decide to go easy on him. Matt: Tai! Over here! Tai: (turning towards Matt and TK) Hey guys! (sees that they both have balls) Oh crap. Matt: Don’t worry! We’re here to help! TK: Who’s chasing you? Tai: Richie. Matt: Need something to plug him with? Tai: Yeah! Matt: (handing him the ball) Here. Tai takes the ball and throws it back at Matt, who catches it. Tai gasps in surprise. Matt: Looks like you’re out, Tai. TK: That makes twice in three seconds! Tai: I’m out twice? (remembers that he can’t hold a ball) Dang it! Matt: (laughs) You should see the look on your face right now! Time finally runs out, as the remaining players make their way back to base. Oak: Before I announce the results, let’s give Michael and Catherine another round of applause for their astonishing performance today! The two of them get a rousing ovation. Oak: Now, time ran out before we could get down to one team, so anyone still left in the game wins the challenge. There were four players still alive at the end. They are Tori, TK, Matt, and Richie. The foursome goes up and gets a congratulatory shake from the professor. Oak: I’m amazed... two captains and two traitors. It’s a good sign of how this game played out. Interesting. After the challenge, the group gets to enjoy a well deserved lunch at Digitamamon’s restaurant. Of course, TK and Tai sit at the same table Catherine is at. Michael is there, right beside her. Catherine: So after all I went through, someone managed to revive you? Tai: Yep. Catherine: I can’t believe it! After all of my work! TK: I didn’t have to be revived! No one could touch me or my brother! Tai: That’s because you had a ball in your hand almost the whole game. Anyone who manages that can win easily. TK: At least I didn’t have to rely on my medic still being alive! As Tai and TK continue their argument over Catherine, Tenchi and Brock look on from the table across the aisle. Tenchi: I’ve never seen two guys so desperate to get a girl’s attention. (glances at Brock) Except for you, Brock. Brock: Catherine’s too good for those two. Tenchi: I’m surprised you haven’t gone after her yet. Brock: Even if she is French, I don’t think she’s cute enough for me. After all of the meals are paid for, Professor Oak offers to walk Michael and Catherine to the portals nearest to where they need to go. The boys go back to the beach and use the monitor there to return to Pallet Town. Once back, the guys all decide to go and relax for once. Night Thirty One Cody has been very watchful of the events that have unfolded since they arrived in the house a month ago. On this very night, he decides to tell our confession cameras what he has learned. Cody: (CC) Being only eight, I don’t understand many of the emotions that some of the other boys are going through. It’s also hard to get along with anyone because of how young I am. People think I’m not mature enough for a competition like this. So far, I seem to be doing fairly well. Probably better than some people expected. Only they haven’t noticed me yet. Also, it seems we’re finally going to see that Season 1 vs. Season 2 rivalry that I had been expecting from the beginning. Let’s just see what develops from this. Day Thirty Two Tai was on the videophone, talking to Whitney once again. And once again, Izzy was spying on him. He was still trying to figure out the connection between the two, but all he could come up with so far were just hunches and theories. Izzy: Tai can’t be asking for this girl’s hand in marriage... can he? Izzy turns towards the videophone, only to see that Tai is no longer there. He motions to get out of his hiding spot, only to find Tai standing right there. Izzy: Hi Tai! (sneaking past Tai) I’ll be going now... Tai: (grabbing Izzy’s shirt) Hold up, Izzy. How long have you known about this? Izzy: Since you started making these calls last week! Tai: What goes on between Whitney and I is our business, okay?
