Preview - "Driven: Kim Possible" Written by Freedom Fighter Disclaimer: The characters of "Kim Possible" do not belong to me, but to Disney. Any usage of names of real persons, living or dead, are purely coincidental. "Driven" is a show that airs on the music channel VH1, and is being used for this parody. This fanfic is by no means any form of disrespect towards "Kim Possible," "Driven," or any of the networks, cast, and crew members involved in the actual shows themselves. This is just a fun little romp to highlight the greatness of "Kim Possible." The following was completed on April 6, 2005 and was posted at my website, Freedom Fighter's Library, on April 8, 2005. This preview was written by myself, Freedom Fighter, and is not allowed to be posted on any other website without my permission. ****** [Narrator] In 2002, audiences worldwide were introduced to a spunky 15-year old teenage girl. This young woman was featured on a website which spouted, "She can do anything!" At first, she was asked to help with simple things... rescue cats from trees, help old people cross the street, babysit... that sort of thing. But she'd never forget that one night when she was called to do more. To go beyond anything she had ever hoped of doing. To do more for the common good than just the mundane 'local hero' tasks. The night she was first called to save the world. For several years, this strapping young individual has defeated countless villains, saved numerous people, and traveled all around the world. And all while looking good in a crop top and cargo pants. But despite how great she is, she would also be the first to tell anyone that she couldn't do it all by herself. Behind every great hero or heroine lies a few great men. Or, a few great boys, to be more precise. [Rufus - The naked mole rat] Hey! [Narrator] And one naked mole rat, too. [Rufus] Thank you! ====== [Ron Stoppable - Best friend and sidekick] She's so amazing! She could be here, she could be there... she could be anywhere! [Wade - Child prodigy, Gadget inventor] It's my stuff that gets her through missions successfully. [Ron] Dude, she's no slacker! I know everytime I don't pull my own weight, she berates me for it! That's what best friends do! [Wade] Without the latest technologies at my fingertips, I'm not sure where we would be today. We probably would've never met, I suppose. [Ron] She wouldn't be willing to admit it, but she needs me as much as I need her. [Rufus] Mm-hmm... she's great! [Wade] I remember the first time we met, as if it were yesterday... [Ron] *sniffle* Oh, why didn't it have to end this way? ====== [Narrator] In just a few weeks... it's the story of one the greatest heroines in recent animation history, told through the voices of her family, friends, classmates, and yes, even evil adversaries. [Mr. Possible - Rocket scientist] We were afraid she wouldn't be able to do her job, being followed by all those video cameras and stuff. [Mrs. Possible - Neurosurgeon] You wouldn't believe some of the stuff they asked her to do! [Ron] My whole 'pants falling down' routine? I've always hated the guy who came up with that running gag! [Doctor Drakken - Evil genius] Why does she always get all the glory? Can't a bad guy get the spotlight for once? [Shego - Evil henchwoman] I don't like her, but I do like what she's done for my popularity. Do you know how many evil geniuses want me to work for them? [Steve Barkin - Administrator, Substitute teacher] You had no IDEA how strange it was teaching a class in front of a camera! [Ron] Yeah, he said something about doing it so Kim would fall in love with me. [Monkey Fist - Evil archaeologist] People keep thinking I changed myself into a monkey so I'd become more noticable among the other villains. But rest assured, I did not cater to anyone's whims! I changed before the show came along! [Bonnie Rockwaller - Rival cheerleader] The show was originally supposed to star me, but they thought her body would be more attractive! Hel-lo... who's got the curves here, people! [Ron] It got to the point where she thought I suggested it to the producers and she hated me for it. For three months! [Duff Killigan - Rogue golfer] Aye, the lass has skills. How many heroes do ye know that can dodge exploding golf balls at point blank? [Mr. Possible] We couldn't get them clearance into the space station, so we all had to go to Los Angeles and film that entire episode on a soundstage. And let me tell you... it's not just the same! [Bonnie] You know they actually encouraged me to hate her guts? For the first few episodes, I was paid by the insult! If I couldn't provide a good foil for her, they would've kicked me off the show! [Ron] Three... whole... months! [Doctor Director - Head of Global Justice] This is a top secret area! No cameras allowed! [Drakken] All I wanted for was an action figure! Is that just so much to ask? [Bonnie] And, trust me... could you imagine Tara being the rival? So not! [Ron] Why? Why must you do this? I emplore you writers if you're reading this... make me smarter! Why do we have to have me embarass myself... *trips over camera wire* ====== [Narrator] On April 25th, be there for the most amusing exposé of any animated character ever done... straight from the people who lived her life with her, before, during, and after the TV show. [Shego] I live to fight with her! [Mr. Possible] She was the greatest gift we could ever ask for. [Barkin] It was sad... the day we wrapped up shooting on our final episode... [Ron] She was the best friend a guy could ever have. I was the best sidekick she could ever have. *down on his knees* Oh, why did they have to take her away? She was the best thing to happen to television since color was invented! And she was the one... the true one... that I always... [Bonnie] She's not dead, stupid! [Ron] Oh... [Narrator] These are stories of hope, ambition, celebration, humiliation, comraderie, sadness, doubtfulness, anger, disappointment, and a whole bunch of other emotions too numerous to list of a girl who will be best remembered by her trademark catchphrase. "So not the drama." These are the stories of a cheerleader-by-day, crimefighter-by-night young woman who sent ripples through the way Disney produced an animated series. These are the stories of Kim Possible. Because to get where she is today, she had to be... Driven. ****** Be here on Monday, April 25th, for the world premiere of "Driven: Kim Possible." There's fun to be had, and, trust me, no KP fan will want to miss this!
