Adventures Series, Episode 33 (Version 1.1), "Misty's Travels to the Pokémon League Epilogue" Now, let's take it home with the exciting conclusion. Well, maybe not exciting, but decide for yourself. Disclaimer: Arius and Cassie were created by me and can't be used without my permission. Misty, Giselle, and Officer Jenny, though, are free to be used in any way. ************************************************************************ Friday, July 8, Viridian City [1] Narrator: After the fiasco at the Viridian City gym, Misty finally has all eight of her badges. But now, it's time for the gang to go their separate ways, as they all need some rest and relaxation after all that's happened. Ash: So, where you off to this time, Misty? Misty: Back to Cerulean City. I want to make sure all of my Pokémon are ready for the tournament next month. Giselle: They'd better be, Misty. I'm expecting an all-out fight from you at the League. Ash: You're competing too? Giselle: Of course. I just graduated from Pokémon Tech, and I'm on my way up to the Indigo Plateau as well. Brock: Interesting... so I guess that means you two are... Misty and Giselle: (simultaneously) Rivals, that's right! Giselle: Next month, you'll truly see my pure potential. Todd: Why wait... why don't you show us you're full potential now? Brock: Yeah... inquiring minds want to know. Mikey: Show us your all! Ash: Yeah, come on! Misty: Oh, you boys are hopeless! Giselle: You guys really need to get a life. Misty: So, Giselle, where are you off to now? Giselle: To Pallet Town... I need to pay a visit to the great Professor Oak. Ash: What a coincidence... I live in Pallet Town. Giselle: Well, well, maybe we can have a lot of fun on the way, if you catch my drift. Misty: Ha ha, very funny, Giselle! And I'd better not catch you fooling around with her, Ash Ketchum! Ash: Yes, ma'am. Brock: I guess I'd better get going, too. Misty: And where are you headed off to? Brock: Back home to Pewter City. I need to check on how my family is doing. Ash: (waving goodbye) Okay then, so long! See you at the League next month? Giselle: Be prepared for a battle next time, Misty! Misty: I'll be ready, Giselle! Just call the time and place! Brock: Don't anyone disappear before then! In mere minutes, Ash, Misty, Giselle, and Brock are out of sight. That just leaves Todd and Mikey standing in the street. Todd: So, Mikey, heading home too? Mikey: Yeah, but my brothers won't be here until tomorrow. Todd: Okay. Say, want to spend the night here with me? Mikey: Sure! Todd: But first, let's get you cleaned up, okay? Todd and Mikey head towards one of the local hotels, looking to relax after a very busy day. ************************************************************************ Adventures Series, Season 1 [Episode 33] "Misty's Travels to the Pokémon League," Epilogue Story written by Freedom Fighter ************************************************************************ Dear Ash, Brock, and Giselle, I can't wait for the Pokémon League Novice Tournament to start. It'll be great to compete against the best trainers in the world. Oh, and Giselle, I can't wait to battle you! Brock, hope that you're family's okay over in Pewter, and Ash, don't overwork yourself at Professor Oak's. Now, if you guys are planning to head up to the Indigo Plateau with me, we have to leave Viridian City no later than Tuesday, August 9th at 3:00 p.m., if we want to make it there by Friday in time for check-in and get a good hotel. See you all soon, Misty Tuesday, August 9, Viridian City Giselle is sitting on a bench inside the Viridian City Police Station. Officer Jenny is working at her desk on some paperwork. Giselle glances at the clock on the wall, noting that it was almost three o'clock. Giselle: Where are they? Don't they know how hard it is to travel through Victory Road at night? Misty then bursts through the door, with a suitcase in hand, in addition to her red satchel. Jenny: Be a little gentler next time, Misty. Those doors don't come cheap! Misty: Sorry, Officer Jenny! (turns to Giselle) Hi, Giselle! Giselle: Hi yourself. Where were you? Misty: I was busy stocking on supplies for the trip. Say, where are your bags? And where are Ash, Brock, and Pikachu? Giselle: Beats me. They should've been here. Misty: I thought you were staying with him in Pallet Town. Giselle: Nope. Brock is now, but I left a week ago to return to Celadon City, where I live. Misty: (waving her hand all over the place) That explains that weird smell. Just what type of perfume did you buy? Giselle: Oh, it's this new one called Knock 'em Dead! Scores big with muscular guys. Misty: I bet. Anyway, let me make a call to Ash real quick. She walks over to the videophone and dials up Ash's phone number, conveniently listed in the first page of her personal diary. After a couple of rings, Mrs. Ketchum picks up the phone. Mrs. Ketchum: Hi! Is that you, Misty? Misty: Yes, Mrs. Ketchum, or should I say, Mrs. Oak. Mrs. Ketchum: Oh yes, my husband. He's a real cutie, you know. Misty: (to herself) Why would you marry that old guy, anyway? He's probably got one foot in the grave already. Then again, I am talking about the great Professor Oak. Mrs. Ketchum: I bet you want to know where Ash, Brock, and Pikachu are. Misty: You know where they are? Mrs. Ketchum: Yes, Ash just called me. They've somehow gotten lost along Route 1. Misty facefaults to the ground. Misty: How can they get lost in an open forest area like that? Mrs. Ketchum: Beats me, but they say it'll be a couple of hours before they'll reach Viridian City. Misty: We can't wait a couple of hours! It takes two and a half days to reach the Indigo Plateau by motor scooter! Mrs. Ketchum: Well, I'll have the professor, I mean my husband, call them to let them know that you and Giselle are already on your way there. Misty: Thanks. Bye, Mrs. Ketchum! With that, the videophone switches off. Misty finds Giselle outside, piling five suitcases onto the scooter's luggage case. Misty: Giselle! That'll never hold! You've got to dump something! Giselle: Are you crazy? I've got three weeks worth of clothes in there, my personal stereo, my own makeup kit, and my collection of "The Tardy Boy Mysteries." Jenny suddenly appears and notices the mound of suitcases. She then turns to Giselle. Jenny: (angry) Young lady, that scooter can only hold five hundred pounds. In other words, you've got to shrink down those five suitcases to two, and I mean pronto. Giselle: Why can't I just use a scooter of my own? Misty: Because we're saving the only other one here for Ash, Brock, and Pikachu! Giselle: (pouts) I don't want to leave behind any of my stuff. I want to take it all! After a little convincing on both Misty and Jenny's parts, the scooter is ready to leave, with three suitcases total and a satchel tied down in the luggage cage. Giselle: How come you get to drive? Misty: Because I've had experience with driving one already. Besides, with your wild attitude, you'd probably kill us in an instant! Giselle: Would not! Jenny: Now don't start fighting! You'll never get there if you do. She hands each of the girls a helmet to wear. They put them on. Jenny: Now, watch out for the rocks when you drive through Victory Road. There will be a few towns you can stop at along the way to rest for the night, so that you don't have to sleep on the ground. Giselle: Thank goodness. Misty: (starting the engine) Hold on tight, Giselle. Giselle: (grabbing Misty's waist) Okay, but if someone mistakes us for a married couple, I'm walking the rest of the way. Jenny giggles as Misty drives the scooter down the road and towards Route 22. Giselle tries to wave goodbye to Jenny, but she almost falls off when Misty makes a hard right turn towards the main road out of town. An hour later, along Route 22, two familiar figures have stopped for a rest under a tree. One, a boy with golden brown hair, an auburn red / blood red striped shirt, some khaki shorts, and sneakers. The other is a girl with a long blue dress and matching blue shoes. They are each carrying a backpack with all of their belongings inside. They were talking about Pokémon, of course. Arius: Imagine all of the Beedrill that used to live in trees along this route. They could've really created a buzz for all of the trainers that pass by. Cassie: Beedrill don't interest me, Arius. I remember this route because it's home to a lot of Pidgey and Rattata. This is where I caught Rattata, my very first Pokémon capture. Cassie then opens her backpack and opens the Pokéball containing a Raticate. Cassie: Of course, Rattata has evolved into Raticate since then. Arius: And a mighty fine Raticate at that. Cassie: (recalling Raticate) Say, what about that secret project that Randy keeps hinting at? Arius: (sounding anxious) I'd like to talk about it, but first, nature calls! He runs off towards the nearby river. Cassie: (crossing her arms) Men. They always want to keep you in suspense. She then hears the sound of a motor scooter approaching. She takes out a pair of binoculars and looks into them. She spots Misty and Giselle. Taking out a stack of papers from her backpack, she manages to identify the trainers. Cassie: Let's see, the passenger is Giselle Gravelpot. According to the report, she's a recent graduate of Pokémon Tech. She's also knowledgeable of all of the tricks of the trade in a Pokémon battle, and she's hard to beat in battle, due to the fact that many of her Pokémon have skills that nullify the effects of Pokémon that have an advantage over them. And the driver, that's Misty Waterflower, the trainer that Arius was traveling with last year. I wonder what they're doing here? Arius: (calling from across the road) Cassie, what's up? Cassie: Oh, I think we've got two Pokémon trainers on the way up here, and fast! Arius: Really? Where? The motor scooter comes speeding down the road, right towards Arius! Misty spots him, and attempts to stop. Arius, not taking any chances, dives out of the way. Good thing too, as it took Misty an extra three hundred feet past his original position to stop the scooter. Arius: Hey girl, why don't you watch where you're going? Misty: (getting off) Oh, I'm so sorry! I almost didn't see you there. She then takes another look and finally recognizes Arius. Misty: (taking off her helmet) Arius? Arius: Misty? Is that you? The two run towards each other and embrace. Giselle gets off the scooter and takes off her helmet, while Cassie, watching from the side, begins to show signs of jealousy on her face. They finally let go of each other, and spot the looks on their friends' faces. Cassie: Excuse me, but are you done kissing my boyfriend? Misty: Boyfriend? Oopsie... Arius: Now Cassie, it was just a kiss of friendship. We just haven't seen each other in a while. Cassie: And why were you kissing him, Misty? Misty: Me? I guess I did so just to thank Arius for those gifts he gave me for my birthday? Cassie: You gave her gifts for her birthday? What about me? I'm never received as much as a bouquet of flowers or a box of candy from you! Arius: Cassie, it was just a box set of X machines for her journey! Nothing much. Cassie: You'd better hope that's all you gave her. Misty: Don't worry, I'd never move in on your boyfriend. Giselle: That's because you've already got a boyfriend of your own! Misty: Put a sock in it! I don't have a boyfriend! Cassie: Which is why you tried to move in on mine! Arius: Girls, girls, calm down! Maybe we should introduce each other, so we can clear things up. I'm Arius McFly from Cobalt Town. And this is my girlfriend and traveling companion, Cassie Banks of Poli Town. Cassie: I'd say pleased to meet you, but as you can see, I'm definitely not pleased. Arius: Cassie! Cassie: Really, I'm not! Misty: (sighs) Okay... I'm Misty Waterflower from Cerulean City, and this girl behind me... Giselle: Giselle Gravelpot, Pokémon trainer extraordinaire! Misty: Sure, Giselle. We're heading up to the Indigo Plateau to compete in the Pokémon League Novice Tournament. Cassie: First timers? You won't stand a chance. Arius: Cassie! Get over it already! Misty didn't mean to move in on me! Cassie: She doesn't look sincere to me. She doesn't deserve a second chance. Misty: What do I have to do to get on your good side? Arius: I don't know about you, Misty, but I know. Cassie looks at Arius curiously. Arius then leans over and begins to kiss Cassie. She resists at first, but then accepts Arius's advances. Misty smiles and then begins to head back to the motor scooter. Misty: Let's go, Giselle. We're only causing trouble here. Giselle: Wait, I just can't leave without planting one on Arius. Misty: Giselle! You want Cassie to start yelling at you? Let's go... I can't stand another minute being here. The two put on their helmets, climb aboard the scooter, and speed off towards the next town. Once they're out of sight, Arius and Cassie let go of each other. Cassie: You're good at saving things, aren't you? Arius: Of course! I can't let my little buttercup flutter away, can I? Cassie: Wait a minute... there was something special about those trainers that the boss wanted us to find out about. Arius: It's too bad they're already long gone. Oh well, maybe next time. Cassie: Yeah. Anyway, I think we should get going. It'll be sunset soon, and I'd like to sleep on a nice comfortable bed in Viridian City. Arius: Agreed. Let's go! The two pick up the backpacks, link arms, and begin to walk towards Viridian City. Scene changes to Indigo Stadium. Banners are already up all over the trainers' village located on the nearby Indigo Plateau, advertising the upcoming tournament. Meanwhile, the first trainer arrives on the scene, with a small Pikachu by his side. At first look, one could tell that he could be one of the favorites to win it all this time around... The End - "Misty's Travels to the Pokémon League" "Adventures Series," Season One - Complete Season One has finally ended, and now we can all rest a little easier. Author's Note: - Pikachu is sleeping in Ash's backpack throughout this scene, if you want to know. Nurse Joy has already healed all of the Pokémon as well. Copyright Date: 4/1/00, Revised: 12/28/01, courtesy of Matt Lenz Revisions to the Original Release Include: - Yep, a few more minor grammar corrections. - A line of Giselle's that was present in the conversation between her and Misty at the Viridian City Police Station was changed slightly. It originally read, "Brock is now, but I left two weeks ago to return to Celadon City, where I live." 'Two weeks' now becomes just 'one week,' because the training period was only four weeks... a lot shorter than I had thought originally. Next is the Season 1 Uncut Special, which features material not printed originally in the first 33 episodes. In the meantime, this now gives all of you reading the series at Fanfiction.net for the first time a chance to finally read Season 2! And don't forget that Season 3 begins in January 2002!
