Adventures Series, Episode 21 (Version 1.1), "A Special Surprise" Nine already? Wow, this series is really flying! Um, enough with the self-praising... Disclaimer: Jane, Calamity, Pidgeo, and Arius are my creations. As per request, there's also a guest character in this chapter. I'll credit his creator at the end of the chapter. ************************************************************************ Saturday, March 5, Stone Town A piece of paper is written with the following: Party at Stone Town 3 - 14. The piece of paper is pulled down as the figure holding it approaches a gate. Figure: Third row, number fourteen. This must be it. The camera turns around to reveal the figure's identity. It's Todd Snap, the famous Pokémon photographer! And he looks ready to take some pictures. Todd: I'm glad I brought old number one. It's my favorite camera! It'll be perfect for the pictures I'm going to snap! He steps passed the gate and into the backyard, where a number of other figures are preparing for the party. Among them are three trainers named Rainer, Pyro, and Sparky, who walk up to him. [1] Rainer: It's about time you got here. Pyro: Are you ready? Todd: As ready as I'll ever be. Sparky: Then you know what to do. Todd: Right. You guys just make sure everything's ready when I get back. Todd runs out of the yard and back towards the outskirts of the city to find the "guest of honor." ************************************************************************ Adventures Series, Season 1 [Episode 21] "Misty's Travels to the Pokémon League" Chapter Nine: "A Special Surprise" Story written by Freedom Fighter ************************************************************************ Outside Stone Town, Misty examines the six gym badges she has earned so far as she walks. Togepi is sleeping in her satchel, with her head sticking out. Misty: To imagine it only took me a little over six months to earn six badges. Beating Brock, despite Jessie and James appearing and Duplica helping out... (Flashback #1: Misty is shown ordering Staryu to use the hydro pump, as Onix is taken out for the victory.) [2] Misty: Beating my sisters because they were arguing whether or not Dewgong was allowed to fight... (Flashback #2: Misty's Horsea fires a smokescreen that blinds Violet and Dewgong. Afterwards, Dewgong runs away and doesn't return to battle, which brings up an argument between Violet, Daisy, and Lily.) [3] Misty: Getting past Lt. Surge's powerful Raichu... (Flashback #3: A giant thunderbolt from Raichu puts both Raichu and Misty's Psyduck down on the ground. Raichu attempts to get up but fails, while Psyduck slowly but steadily survives the match.) [4] Misty: Or my tough battle with Sabrina in Saffron... (Flashback #4: Vaporeon freezes Haunter in place with the aurora beam. Haunter breaks out, but Vaporeon works fast and takes the ghost Pokémon out.) [5] Misty: Or Erika's strong line of grass Pokémon... (Flashback #5: Vaporeon at work again, easily defeating Erika's second-rate Weepinbell.) [6] Misty: Or even Koga for the Soul Badge, another well fought battle... (Flashback #6: Golduck performs the fury swipes and knocks out Venomoth.) [7] Misty: Six great battles, six badges. Only Cinnabar Island and Viridian City remain on my journey. It won't be too long before I get my crack at the Pokémon League. She sighs, puts the badges back in her satchel, and pulls out her blue Pokédex. Just as she does, Todd comes running up towards her. Todd: Misty! Misty! Misty: Todd? Todd Snap? Is that you? Todd: (stopping in front of Misty) Yeah, it's me. How have you been? Misty: Pretty good. I've got six gym badges. Todd: Six badges? I thought Ash was the only one of you guys collecting them. Speaking of Ash, where is he? And Brock? And Pikachu? Misty: Ash is off competing in the Pokémon League, and Brock and Pikachu are with him. I'm here collecting badges so that I might be able to join them one day. Todd: That's great. Hey, that reminds me. I've got a present for you. Misty: A present? For me? But why? Todd: You don't know? Misty: Know what? Todd: Never mind. Come on, follow me into Stone Town. Todd runs off towards the town, and Misty follows, completely in puzzlement. Misty: Todd, wait! What are you talking about? A couple minutes later, Todd and Misty reach the house. Misty: Isn't this where Mikey and his three brothers live? Todd: Yep. This is their place. Misty: But why are we here? Todd: I'm staying with them while I do some photography up at the Evolution Stone Mine. The present is out back. Misty walks ahead of Todd to the backyard. As soon as she reaches it, she sees several tables spread open. Some had tons of food on them; others were set up with plates, silverware, and other utensils. Misty: Hey! What's going on here! Suddenly, a large group of people come out of hiding, from under tables, from nearby bushes, from inside the house, from trees, and a few even from the fountain. They all jump out with one big yell... Party Goers: (shouting) Happy thirteenth birthday, Misty Waterflower! Misty: (surprised) Happy birthday? Is it my birthday already? She opens her Pokédex and checks the date. Misty: Yep, today's my birthday. I knew there was something special going on today. Todd: We know how hard you've worked on your journey, so we set up this surprise party for you. Misty: Thank you, all of you! I never knew that you guys would be this considerate. Todd: Just enjoy the great party, Misty! That's all we want you to do! The party began, and everyone was having a lot of fun. Some people were listening to music, others were dancing to it, some were eating, and a select few were conversing. Misty and Todd walk over to the fountain, where Misty reunites with an old friend. Misty: Mikey! Mikey: Misty! Misty walks up to Mikey, and the two hug each other. Todd gives a look of surprise, not expecting this to happen. Misty: How have you been, Mikey? Mikey: Pretty good. My Eevee's coming around well. See? Mikey shows his Eevee to her. Eevee: Vee! Misty: Oh, he's so cute! What moves has he learned? Mikey: Right now, Eevee knows tackle, sand attack, growl, and quick attack. Misty: So, it's coming along nicely. Mikey: Yeah! My brothers said that I could go on the road in the summer to earn some badges. Misty: Really? Wanna see mine? Mikey: Sure! Todd: (whispers into Misty's ear) Um, Misty, can we talk? Todd pulls Misty over to a secluded corner of the yard. After checking to make sure no one sees them, Todd turned towards Misty. Todd: Misty, what are you doing? Misty: What am I doing, Todd? I'm talking to my friend! Is it a crime to do such a thing? Todd: But he's just a kid. I bet he's not even ten years old yet! Misty: (starting to get angry) You're telling me that you don't like my choice of friends? Todd: No. I'm just saying that it looks weird to see a thirteen year old girl talking to an eight year old boy. Misty: Weird? Todd, you wouldn't know weird if a Mewtwo tapped you on the shoulder. Misty walks back to the fountain, where Misty sees her sisters now crowding around Mikey. Violet: So you must be Mikey? Mikey: Yeah, I'm Mikey. And you are? Daisy: We're Misty's older sisters. My name's Daisy. Lily: I'm Lily! Violet: And I'm Violet. Pleased to meet you, Mikey. The three of them shake hands with Mikey as Misty walks up. Daisy: (turns towards Misty) So there's our little sister! Lily: Happy birthday, squirt! Misty: Squirt? Violet: She's just joking, Misty, get a grip. How's our favorite little sister doing? Misty: Pretty good, except for those dolts from Team Rocket that keep following me everywhere. Daisy: Team Rocket still following you, sis? Violet: What would those clowns want with you, anyway? Misty: I wish I knew. Lily: Well, as long as they don't trash this party, then those guys can do whatever they want. Violet: By the way, Misty, have you met Mikey here? He's the younger brother of the hosts of the party. Misty: Yes. We've been friends for a long time. Mikey: Misty helped me decide to keep my Eevee an Eevee. Lily: That's cute. Mikey: Hey! Here come my brothers! Rainer, Pyro, and Sparky walked up to the group, with their respective Pokémon at their sides. They begin to look at the ravishing figures of Misty's sisters. Sparky: (looking at Lily) Say, gorgeous, how about you and me go to the movies after this little party is over. Jolteon: (sparks begin to fly) Jolt! Lily: (steps away from Jolteon) No way! Especially if you have an electric Pokémon. Pyro: (kneels down and grabs Violet's right hand) Hey, sweetie, how 'bout we burn the town down tonight with our love for each other? Flareon: (begins to brighten its flames) Flare! Violet: (pulls her hand away from Pyro) Like, whatever, especially with that fire Pokémon of yours. You know that fire types and water types don't mix. Rainer: (bows down in front of Daisy) Would you like to go out with me, my darling? Vaporeon: (jumps up and down) Vapor! Daisy: (begins to blush) Why, I'd love to, like, seriously! Sparky: Lucky chap. Pyro: How does Rainer always end up with the girls? Violet: Because we are all, like, water Pokémon trainers. Lily: And electric and fire types don't get along with water types too well. Misty: (to Mikey) Just look at them, Mikey! Mikey: I can't believe what guys would do just to get with a girl. I don't see what the big idea is. Pyro: Well, just look at yourself, Mikey. Violet: Yeah, Misty, you two have been hanging a little too close together. Misty and Mikey: (looking at each other) Us together? Yeah, right. Mikey: (to his brothers) I don't even look at a girl like you guys do! Misty: (to her sisters) I already have a boyfriend! Suddenly, there's a flash of light, and everyone turns around to see Todd pull his camera away from his face. Todd: This will make one great picture for the scrapbook! Misty: Todd! How dare you take my picture! Misty pulls out her mallet and begins to chase Todd around the backyard. Misty: Come back here so I can whack you with my mallet! Todd: You've gotta catch me first, Misty! Daisy: (sighs) They're acting like little kids! Lily: Actually, when you look at them, they are little kids. Violet: I agree. Isn't there a better way to resolve something like this? Most of the people around stop what they are doing and watch as the "birthday girl" chases one of the girls. Suddenly, Todd runs by a tall guy, who Misty doesn't see, and runs into. Unfortunately for her, the guy was carrying a plate with mashed potatoes and barbecued chicken, and it spilled all over him. Misty fell to the ground, due to the big size of the guy. Misty: (gets up and begins to blush) I'm sorry. You see, I was chasing this guy, and... She looks up and sees a tall, blond haired, blue eyed gentleman, well built, and headstrong. The guy reaches over towards Misty... ************************************************************************ Up in the sky, a Pidgeot faced balloon floated nearby. Inside it were three familiar figures, Jane, Calamity, and Pidgeo. Jane: Didn't you hear? It's the kid's thirteenth birthday? Calamity: Thirteen, you say? That's an unlucky number! Pidgeo: Right! But it's lucky for us! Because today's the day we're going to kidnap Misty and bring her to the boss! Jane: By the end of the day, we'll be among Team Rocket's elite forces! Calamity: Instead of down with the losers like Jessie, James, Cassidy, and Butch. Pidgeo: Let's go! We might never get another chance like this again! The balloon floats ever closer to the site of the birthday party. Speaking of which, the guy that Misty bumped into has helped her get back on her feet. Misty: Thanks for the help. Man: You're welcome, miss... Misty: Misty. I'm Misty Waterflower. Man: So you're the birthday girl, huh? Congratulations! Misty: Thanks! And you are? Man: Scott McGwire-Broscius-Garcia. [8] Misty: (sweatdrops) Wow, what a long name. Scott: People just call me Scott McGwire for short. Misty: Okay then, Scott. Oh, sorry about the mess. Misty is referring to the stains left by the potatoes and chicken on his shirt. Scott takes out a napkin and tries to wipe some of it off. Scott: Don't worry about it. One trip through the rinse cycle and this shirt will be good as new. Daisy, Lily, Violet, Sparky, Pyro, Rainer, Mikey, and Todd walk up to the duo and join the conversation. Daisy: Like, Misty, are you all right? Misty: I'm fine, Daisy. Violet: (to Scott) I apologize for my sister's actions. She can be like that sometimes. Lily: Misty has a knack for paying attention to other things when she's focused on one goal. Todd: In this case, clobbering me on the head with her mallet. Scott: Why would she want to do that? Mikey: Because he tried to take a picture of me and Misty while we were talking. Pyro: Little brother, you two were doing more then talking. Rainer: In fact, you two were about to kiss! Misty: (angry) No, I wasn't! Mikey: It's nothing like that, honest! Sparky: (whispers to Mikey) You don't have to hide it, Mikey! You know, my first crush was at your age, with a girl that was several years older than me. Pyro: Sparky, the only reason you had a crush on her is because you saw her underwear when her skirt blew up high in the air! Violet pulls a fan out of nowhere and knocks Pyro to the ground. Violet: You pervert! Especially for someone at your age! Sparky: Now that I think of it, the girl had pink hair (pointing to Lily) just like yours! In fact, you're that exact girl! Lily: (blushes) Well, what do you know? Looks like shallowness runs in the family. Lily pulls Sparky by the ear towards the fountain. She then pushes him in. She then breaks out in laughter at the wet Sparky, surrounded by a few water Pokémon. Rainer: (sweatdrops, as he notices that Daisy is looking at him) Don't look at me! I wasn't with them that day! Daisy: Sure you weren't... Suddenly, two more familiar figures step into the light. One, a black hair female with a red button dress, the other a brown hair male in clothes that made him look like Todd's twin brother... and it shows. Todd: (walking up to the male) Hey, do I know you? Male: Actually, no. But I'm sure Misty remembers me. Misty: Arius? Is that you? Arius: In the flesh. Happy birthday! Misty: Wait a minute. If you're here, then where's Sabrina? Sabrina: I'm right here, Misty. Lily: Hi, Sabrina! Still not mad over the time I took your doll? Sabrina: Oh, forget about it, Lily. Besides, I already got my revenge for that one. Lily: You did? Violet: Lily, since when did you resort to stealing dolls? Lily: Ever since Daisy started giving me hair bands for my birthday! Daisy: Hey! Don't you know how expensive dolls are these days? Arius: So, Misty, how have things been? Misty: Real busy. Jane and Calamity have been chasing me for awhile. Arius: Those two are back? Boy, that's a bummer! Mikey: Hey, is it time to open presents yet? I'd like Misty to see what I got her for her birthday! Todd: Great! I can take pictures of her while she's opening them. Misty: (begins to hover menacingly close to Todd) By the way, what did you get me, Todd? Todd: (sweating profusely) Why don't you open it and see? Misty: In fact, I will open yours first! Misty walks off towards the pile of presents, as Scott kneels down next to Todd. Scott: Is she always like this? Todd: Not always... at least not around me, that is. A few minutes later, all of the partygoers were gathered around, as Misty began to open presents. She started by ripping the wrapping off Todd's present. Misty: (opening the box) A Pokéball necklace? How cute! Todd: Thanks! I knew you'd like it. Misty didn't waste a second in putting it on. The twenty-four karat gold necklace was accented by a small sized Pokéball hanging from one side. Misty: How could you afford something this extravagant, Todd? Todd: Well, when a nature magazine asks you to send in Pokémon pictures every month, the money starts to add up. Misty: (hugs Todd) Thanks, Todd! Todd: You're welcome, Misty. Now, about that picture earlier... Misty: (pulling away) Don't push your luck. Misty opens one present after another. Most of the presents consisted of clothes of some type, a hair dryer, a pack of six empty Pokéballs, a beanie-type teddy bear, and a few other things. Arius had given Misty a set of X Potions: X Attack, X Defend, X Accuracy, X Speed, and X Special. Arius: These are for those tough battles in which your Pokémon need an added advantage against an opponent. Misty: Thanks, Arius. (to herself) Although I could've used them after I passed through Watermelon Town. [9] Sparky, Pyro, and Rainer gave one evolution stone each to her, of their type, of course. Sparky: Here's a thunder stone, if you ever get an electric-type Pokémon. Pyro: And my gift's a fire stone, should you ever happen to come across a fire type. Rainer: This is a water stone. Since I know you're a fan of water-types, this'll be perfect you. Misty: (sweatdrops) Gee, thanks for the stones, guys! Sabrina's gift was HM #3, a very special gift indeed. Sabrina: This special Hidden Machine will teach a water Pokémon how to surf over large bodies of water. This will become more useful when and if you decide to travel to the islands to continue on your journey. Misty: That's great! Maybe I'll teach it to one of my Pokémon later. Sabrina: It's even better. You can use it as many times as needed. It never expires. Misty: That'll help if my first Pokémon is out. Thanks, Sabrina! Mikey's present was a small silver circle locket, which had a picture of him and his Eevee on one side and the other side empty. Mikey: It's a locket, Misty! See, that side has my picture in it, and the other side is where you're picture goes. I've got one too, so that we'll never forget each other. Misty: (blushing again) Thanks, Mikey. I'll see if I can find one for you later. Scott, being from America, brought a gift that was strange to everyone at the party. Misty: (pulling out a odd shaped brown ball) Scott, what's this? Scott: It's a football. Misty: This isn't a football. A football is a circular ball with white and black spots. Scott: Oh. That's a soccer ball. Misty: Soccer ball? What is soccer? Everyone Else (except Scott): Yeah, what is soccer? Scott: (sighs) I'll explain later. The last gift was a combined gift from her sisters. Misty: What's the matter? The three of you couldn't pick out presents for yourselves? Daisy: We were, like, gonna give you some new clothes so that you could at least look fashionably in with the times... Lily: But then, we got this brilliant brainstorm! Violet: It costs us all a lot of money, but I know you'll like it. Open it, Misty! Misty: Okay. Misty rips off the wrappers, and then she opened the box contained inside. She found a Pokéball inside, with a tag attached. Misty: (pulls it out and reads the tag) Hey, Misty! We heard that you've wanted this Pokémon for awhile. Hope you enjoy it, and good luck on the rest of your journey. From your beautiful sisters, Daisy, Lily, and Violet. Lily: Well, don't just stand there gawking at it, Misty! Violet: Yeah, open it up! Daisy: And hurry, so if you don't like the Pokémon inside, we can trade it for another one before you leave. Lily and Violet: (surprised, yell at the top of their lungs) Daisy! Daisy: Or, we could keep it ourselves. Lily and Violet: (still yelling) Daisy! Daisy: Or I can keep it. At least I'll have a new Pokémon to train. Lily: (puts her right hand on her own forehead) Our sister has gone crazy. Violet: So what else is new? Misty prepares to open the Pokéball. Misty: Misty calls forth... Suddenly, a Pidgeotto sweeps out of the sky and dives straight for Misty's hand, knocking the Pokéball out of it. Misty: Hey! Pidgeo: Hah! I got it! Todd: It can talk? Rainer and Daisy: (simultaneously) Just like the Meowth that Team Rocket has! Misty: That's Pidgeo! He's the mascot of another Team Rocket faction. But if Pidgeo's here, that means... Misty leads the way as everyone turns his or her heads skyward, as the Pidgeot balloon floats over the yard. Misty: I should have guessed. Jane and Calamity! Pyro: Who? Arius: Why would those two be here? Misty: Daisy, Lily, Violet, these are the goons who jumped me and Arius shortly after I left the gym! Wait, they're also the ones that destroyed my bicycle! Daisy: You mean the one Ash got you for Christmas? Misty: The very same. These guys are ruthless, and they'll do anything to win. Scott: Sounds like the Team Rocket that keeps chasing me and my Vileplume! Misty: You have a Vileplume? Sabrina: We'd better stall this conversation for the moment. They have arrived. As Pidgeo dives back down and picks up the Pokéball, the Pidgeot balloon lands and Jane and Calamity climb out, poised to say their motto... minus the smokescreen. Jane: Prepare for trouble! Calamity: And make it double! Jane: To introduce the world to devastation! Calamity: To love our team and unite our nation! Jane: To denounce the values known as truth and love! Calamity: To extend our knowledge to the stars above! Jane: Jane! Calamity: Calamity! Jane: Team Rocket, the best when stealing Pokémon is right! Calamity: Surrender now, or prepare for a fight! Pidgeo: Pidgeo! We're not kidding around! Misty: What are you jerks doing here? You're ruining my birthday party! Jane: We're here to present a special gift. Daisy: Like, you mean in those tacky orange uniforms of yours? Violet: You've gotta be kidding. Jane: These orange uniforms are a symbol of Team Rocket's fashion sense. Lily: Which really doesn't mean anything to the rest of the world. Calamity then taps Jane on the shoulder, and points to Todd. Calamity: Jane, it's the photographer kid! Jane: (turns to Todd) By any chance are you Todd Snap? Todd: Yeah! Why, do you bozos want my autograph? Pidgeo: Our boss wants us to personally dispose of you and Miss Waterflower! Todd: What? Misty: (to Todd) I'll explain everything later. Arius: You're not taking Misty! And I'll make sure of it! Jane: Oh yeah? You and who's army? Sabrina: I too will defend Misty and Todd from your evil wrath. Daisy, Lily, and Violet: No one tries to kidnap our younger sister and gets away with it! Sparky, Pyro, and Rainer: And no one tries to trash a party being hosted by the Battling Eevee Brothers! Mikey: That goes for me too! Scott: Even though I have no idea what your objectives are, anyone who associates with the evil Team Rocket must be stopped at all costs. So I'm in as well. Jane, Calamity, and Pidgeo get a little nervous as each of the ten trainers calls out their best Pokémon. On the field for our heroes: - Golbat (Arius) - Jolteon (Sparky) - Alakazam (Sabrina) - Flareon (Pyro) - Seaking (Daisy) - Vaporeon (Rainer) - Cloyster (Lily) - Eevee (Mikey) - Dewgong (Violet) - Vileplume (Scott) Jane: It doesn't matter how many of you there are! Calamity: We'll beat you with just six Pokémon! Pidgeo, Pinsir, Kabuto, Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise take the field. Misty and Todd step back so the others can get a clear shot at Team Rocket. Pidgeo: (diving towards Mikey and Eevee) I'm coming through, kid! Mikey: Eevee, sand attack! Eevee: Vee! Eevee kicks the sand into Pidgeo's eyes, temporarily blinding him. Sabrina begins to link her mind with her Alakazam's, as they prepared to attack. Sabrina: Alakazam, psybeam! Alakazam: Kazam! The psybeam knocks Pidgeo down to the ground. Meanwhile, Sparky's Jolteon and Jane's Pinsir are battling each other. Jane: Now, you wouldn't dare hurt a lady, would you? Sparky: You're pretty and all, but any lady of Team Rocket is no lady. Jolteon, thunder! Jane: Oh yeah? Pinsir, seismic toss! Jolteon manages to strike Pinsir down before the bug can reach the electric Pokémon. Near the fountain, Daisy and Lily are teaming up against Calamity. Calamity: These airheads don't stand a chance, Kabuto! Hit 'em with your hydro pump! Lily: How come everyone's insulting me all of a sudden? Daisy: We'll talk about it later, Lily! Seaking, horn drill! The hydro pump blew Daisy's Seaking out of the water and onto dry land. Daisy: Seaking! Lily: It's my turn to get some revenge! Cloyster, aurora beam! Cloyster freezes Kabuto in a giant icicle. Lily: Cloyster, spike cannon! Calamity: No way! That's Cloyster's most powerful attack! Spikes fly out of Cloyster's shell, sending Kabuto flying to the other end of the yard. At another end of the field, Charizard is fighting Violet's Dewgong and Rainer's Vaporeon single-handedly. Violet: Dewgong, freeze that Charizard with your ice beam! Rainer: Vaporeon, haze! Charizard uses fire spin to try and cancel out the two water Pokémon's ice attacks. It works effectively enough to keep the fire type from being frozen, but the water attacks still weaken Charizard significantly. Violet: Good work, Dewgong! Now use your take down attack! Dewgong lunges at Charizard and dazes it, leaving it open to another attack. Rainer: Okay, Vaporeon, finish it with your hydro pump! That does the trick, as Charizard faints due to overexposure to water. Over in another part of the yard, Arius's Golbat and Pyro's Flareon seem to be doing pretty well against Venusaur. Arius: Golbat, confuse ray! Venusaur attempts to respond with his razor leaf attack, but ends up injuring himself. Pyro: Flareon, flamethrower! Venusaur faints promptly. This only leaves Blastoise and Scott's Vileplume. Blastoise starts off by attempting a skull bash. Scott: Vileplume, solar beam! Vileplume: Vileplume! The solar beam proves to be highly effective, as Blastoise is knocked down and barely hanging on to life. Scott: Vileplume, petal dance! The petal dance is the final blow for Blastoise. All six of Team Rocket's Pokémon are now out. Jane: (recalling all the Pokémon) I can't believe this! Calamity: We can't lose now! The boss will be real angry with us! Misty: Well, too bad! Surrender now and maybe the police will go easy on you! Jane: I doubt it, Miss Waterflower! Calamity: Team Rocket's going to escape, and you can't stop us! As if this episode didn't have enough surprises, a rope comes out of nowhere and restrains Jane and Calamity. Everyone turns to see a Nurse Joy and an Officer Jenny on the other end of the rope. Todd: It's Joy and Jenny! Joy: Sorry we're late everyone! Jenny: But it looks like we're just in time to catch some Team Rocket criminals! Jane: How dare you! Calamity: No police officer, no matter how beautiful, can get the best of Team Rocket! Jenny walks up to the two and takes the Pokéballs containing Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise away. Jenny: Flattery will only get you a few extra years in jail. In the meantime, I'll take these three Pokémon from you! Jane: Hey! Those Pokémon are ours! Jenny: No they're not! They're stolen Pokémon! Everyone gasps at hearing this. Jane and Calamity begin to sulk. Jenny hands the three Pokéballs. Joy: (to Jenny) Thanks, Jenny. (to Jane and Calamity) I'll make sure these Pokémon are treated and then returned to their rightful owners. Jenny: In the meantime, these two are off to jail! Jenny's Growlithe, which was standing next to her, agreed wholeheartedly. Growlithe: (howling) Growwwwwl! Jane: (reaching for a silver ball in her pocket) I seriously doubt that! Jane throws the silver ball on the ground, forming a smokescreen that blinds everyone. Jenny is still holding the rope, keeping them from escaping on foot. That is, until Calamity pulls out an orange ball. He throws it on the ground, which results in a giant explosion in which the rope slips out of Jenny's hands, and the two Rockets go flying out of town. Jane and Calamity: (simultaneously) Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again! (they then look at each other) I can't believe someone would actually make us say that! About an hour later, the yard was being cleaned up, and most of the partygoers had gone home. Misty, Todd, Daisy, Lily, Violet, Sparky, Pyro, Rainer, Mikey, Scott, Arius, Sabrina, Joy, and Jenny had gathered in the front yard to finish up some minor details. Joy: I guess we ought to give you our presents. (hands Misty a potion with a bow on it) Here's a healing potion to use on the road. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to wrap it properly. Misty: Don't worry about it, Joy. I could always use a potion on the road, especially with Team Rocket around. Jenny: (hands Misty a small wrapped box) This is for you, Misty! Misty: (opens it up) Wow, perfume! Thanks, Officer Jenny! Jenny: You're welcome! I had it shipped here straight from Erika's Perfume Shop in Celadon City. She also wanted to wish you a happy birthday, but she apologizes for not being able to come. Misty: That's okay. It must be hard work being a gym leader. Sabrina: Speaking of which, it's time I got back to Saffron City. Arius: Yeah. You never know if you know who will come back. Sabrina: Please, Arius, don't ever mention your brother again. We've already gone through one tough battle here. The gang laughs at this remark, then waves goodbye to the duo as they head off towards the airport. Jenny: Well, I hope all of you have a safe journey! I've got to get back to work! Joy: Me too. These Pokémon need to be healed. Todd: And the trainers who they belong to? What about them? Joy: They should all be in town by the end of the week to reclaim their lost friends. Jenny and Joy walk off to return to work. Daisy: Misty, we'd better get going. Misty: (starting to walk away) Okay then, see you guys later! Violet: Where are you going, sis? Lily: Aren't you coming with us? Misty: Why? Violet: Like you don't know? Professor Oak and Mrs. Ketchum are getting married in Cerulean City a week from today. Misty: Really? In that case, I don't mind putting off my journey to see this! Todd: Can I come along, ladies? It'd be a great chance for me to get some Pokémon at wedding pictures! Lily: Sure! Sparky, Pyro, and Rainer: Can we come too, ladies? Daisy: (sighs) I don't see any harm in doing so. Violet: (kneels down and pinches Mikey's left cheek) As long as this little cutie comes with you guys. Mikey: Really? I can come too! Mikey begins to jump up and down in excitement. The group of nine then stares at Scott. Scott: Don't worry about me. I'm just on my way to Cinnabar Island to pick something up before I head back to the United States. Misty: Scott, although we've just met you, why don't you come along anyway? Scott: I don't want to be a bother. Lily: Like, no bother at all. Violet: Besides, we just bought a new summerhouse and we still have an extra room left. Misty: When did you guys get the money to buy a summerhouse? Daisy: Hey, we're not called the Sensational Sisters for nothing! Sparky, Pyro, and Rainer begin to drool at Violet, Lily, and Daisy, when they're suddenly smacked in the face by each of them. Misty, Scott, Mikey, and Todd break out in laughter. Misty: That reminds me. What exactly did you three get me for my birthday? Misty opens the Pokéball, and out comes a Tentacool. Misty: A Tentacool? One of the few water Pokémon I don't have yet. Thank you! She runs over to hug her sisters, who hug back. All of the boys were laughing at them, but they didn't care. For any of you wondering, the Scott from this appearance and his current form are one in the same!
